Is this for a DBS?
If so, it's more trouble than it's worth...
If you still want it, I think there is a topic about it in the tutorial section.

Making post interesting! :mrT:

You really need to explain yourself more.

If you mean animated monsters in the DBS, it's more trouble than it's worth. Don't bother with it.

The easiest thing for the DBS is to sprite some stuff and import as battle animation.
Then you must make a skill for every monster's ordinary attack.
Now Make the animation of the enemy hitting as any skill.
Add the animation to the skill.

Now, a copy of the enemy will appear in front of the hero and attack it.
------------------------
It's the easiest way. I did it in Sprite for Life and the attention was taken away from the actual monster anyway.

There are other ways, but hardly worth the trouble, it involves complicated coding and a lot of work.

If you still want it, here are two methods. Not sure if they'll work, but you can give 'em a shot.
Nothing important written, here! Seriously, why do you even care about what is typed here? If I had a nickel, for every time that someone wrote like this, and someone copied and pasted it, just to read it, then I would have a **** load of dimes, I tell you what. If you actually bothered to do all of that, then I order you to cut off your balls, or cut out your ovaries, if you're a lady. Well, actually, I should be a gentleman... ladies do not have to cut out anything, that seem fair? Ah well, I guess I should end this little rant, eh? THE END!!!!!

there are other methods, like cut a part from the background of the battle and in the animation put it to cover monster, then in battle animation put images of monster attacking and it give the sensation that the monster is moving.

Here you go, Lukas, this should do the trick. It not writen by me. I've not bothered to test it, so I don't know if it will work or not.
Okay, this tutorial basically explains a way to have an animation based battle system. You can do lots of things with this such as a battle system surrounding the enemy completely, or even enemies that animate, only creativity is needed.

Basically before you even get started what you need is battle animations set up to look like your characters. After you have created those exact battle animations, you need to make an actual battle animation of all ofyour character under the animation tab. Place the frames exactly at (0,0) cooridinates.

Next what you need to do is make a decoy. A decoy is set up so when the monster attacks you, it would actually attack the animation. A decoy is also needed so that you can place your characters wherever you want to. Now to make a decoy you need to go to the animations2 tab. Click on poses and set his idle stance to anything, it doesnt matter because your character willl not look like that, it is only a decoy so dont worry. Next go to battle layout and you can see the "idle stance" that you had just picked. Move the character where you want him to be.

Next would be to assign the proper animations to the proper gestures. Go to animations2 and click animation type. Now for each animation you had made assign them to their proper places. For instance assign your animated victory stance to the victory option, ya dig? Now go to monster groups and try it out!

Their are some problems thart may happen with this but overall its perfectly fine. Just dont assign weapons their own animations and if you have your characters on the left side, be careful of pre-emptive attacks.
