My favorite RPG music track is Mt. Tamaranch from Link's Awakening.  It has gusto.  Also, it really sticks out from the rest of the Zelda music out there.
Ah, I like that song! I thought it was called Tal Tal Range, though.

Story > gameplay. Or else you get the shitty RPGs we see nowadays.
Depends. An exemple would be The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. I liked the game, but the story... for me, story isn't THAT important.

What was your favorite rpg musical track?

[...] Most of them, I play with sound off :P [...]
Ack! How can you play with no sound!? I just can't play soundless, even if there's an annoying song or noises.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Plot-Wise
Chrono Trigger and FF7 (even though I've never played it, I heard and saw enough).

Characters
Chrono Trigger. I liked having characters from different times.

Musics
I've got quite a few... FF4, FF7, F9, Chrono Trigger and Golden Sun. I can't really pick a single one.

Battle System
I'd have to agree with Archem2, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga's battle system was fun. I also liked Chrono Triggers.
The ones I like the less are FF2's and FF3's mostly for the magic system and FFL's (1 and 2, never tried 3, not sure if it's the same).

Graphic
Well, since I haven't really played any RPG on PS2, XBox etc... I'd have to say FF9. And Golden Sun for 2D graphics.

Overall
Chrono Trigger and Golden Sun.

Uhh, you know where I'm from, right? Plus, if you said baseball or anything like that, I'd give ya the credits. But USA playing soccer, is a no no.

Archem, you'd be ashes by now. Admit you're a nerd as everyone else here, and that instead of SUN you meant "hole-i-digged-BEHIND-THE-CLOSET"!

I think it depends, really, when it comes to story and gameplay, though. Some games are too pretentious when it comes down to it--that can mess things up (I won't mention which RPG I'm talking about--I don't want to start any flame wars).

Still, like I said, Xenosaga was heads-and-shoulders over most over RPGs. It was just poorly planned, I feel.

Anyone play Jeanne D'Arc? Easily the best tactical game I've played... gameplay wise. Story and characters are kinda retarded and forced me to put the game down many times.

Age of Empires II, of course.  Best RTS I ever played.  And Civilization was a good TBS.

Edit:  Also, I used to play soccer, wrestle, and I can stay in the sun for long periods of time without burning too badly, which is saying something for a caucasian.  (Not a racist comment, just saying caucasians aren't accustomed to as much sunlight.)

Plus, if you said baseball or anything like that, I'd give ya the credits. But USA playing soccer, is a no no.

I just now noticed this. That's a highly ignorant thing to say, both factually and opinioned. The US has beaten Brazil many times in soccer, thought we havn't won the FIFA cup or anything like that... to my knowledge.

Besides that, just because you're a certain ethnicity doesn't mean you're suddenly better at something than someone else. By that same logic it means that Mexicans are the best at farming, Italians are the best at cooking, and blacks are the best at not paying child support.
I'd seriously like to challenge to a game of keep away some time just to see if you have any bite with your bark.
