I don't think it means realism, but it sure as hell reminds me of what's real. The further it is, the better as far as I'm concerned.

Well yeah, I know that, but I still want to be able to draw real people, too. Well, people that look remotely real, anyway. Also, I find that when I draw real people, things, etc. from photographs, pictures and all of that...I get a tad bit better every time. I feel like I know shading better, and where shadows should be cast when light hits the object/person, and I also get better at hands, feet, and faces (or basically the things I'm not that good at).

So yeah, I'll practice to improve my anatomy AND my ability to draw more realistic stuff. But don't worry, I'm not gonna throw out my abstract stuff! God no! I love to do stuff in bent and contorted ways. Makes it look all...freaky.

Here is another one I did recently. It is Nygus (Nieges) from Sou Eater. Looked for a picture on Google and looked at it. I just drew it all with pen without a pencil base. Her arm is abnormally short, and alot of other thigns may be off, though. Still...I like the general look, and it made me smile when I finished it.

Yeah, you're pretty good, I'd say. Same as everyone else was sayin, though. Anatomy... When I draw, I know where I'm going, I just have a hard time getting there. Where you're just the opposite... You know what you're doing just fine, you just don't seem too sure on where you're going.

Thank you, people! I'm going to try and get another one up in about a day or two. I need more practice. =O

Also, her pants are very puffy (though maybe not as puffy as mine =B). This is the original image:

Unnaturally poofy. Is there a wire frame support causing this poofiness? Because it defies gravity and boggles the mind!

Unnaturally poofy
Otherwise known as Japanese art, a.k.a. manga/anime/hentai
I swear, it's all like that

I've failed to notice, and even more so have I failed to notice poofiness on that level.

Not necessarily "poofiness"
Just over exaggeration

Over exaggeration?  Isn't that redundant?
