The joy of owning a DS.
« on: September 27, 2008, 03:37:05 AM »
Time Hollow/Disgaea DS/Sonic & Dark Brotherhood/Kirby Superstar Ultra

Time Hollow is just the best adventure game ever since the Phoenix Wright series, and yes, it IS better than Apollo Justice.

Disgaea DS is basically Disgaea with like a punch to the face made up of extras, like unlocking the Most Badass Freakin' Overlord in his book form.

Sonic and the Dark Brotherhood is a pretty solid RPG. Nothing TOO exciting, but it's a good game nevertless.

KSSU = Remake of the best Kirby game ever made, with another punch to the face made up of extras. MetaKnightmare Ultra: play as MK in all the game's original stages, four new bosses and two new Arena modes, plus a whole new chapter.

All of them came out this week. Joy.

 EDIT:
 SUIKODEN DS

 SUIKODEN DS

 Afahghrwthgsshhg

 SUIKODEN FRIGGIN DS

 That's all.

I agree that the DS is nothing if not megawinsauce.

I have none of those games (damn budget), but my brother recently got KSSU. I will be kidnapping it soon.

Two people can play at the same time. But if only one has a cartridgedigetrig, then the other one has got to watch his screen over his shoulder to see the action.

But can it play DS games?

No? And it cramps the hell out of larger hands? Yes?

End.

Wha wha wha!?

Does Disgaea DS still give you everything the PS2 one offered?
I didn't think a cart would be able to store all of that! I was
considering getting it but didn't know if it would be a watered-down
port.

EDIT: Oh, is this turning into a PSP vs DS thread? Come
on! Let's be mature! Honestly!

Bitch please. The DS lite cramps my manly hands. The micro doesn't.

In other news, I wish I had the fund for KSSU D:

Monster Hunter.   PSP wins.

What? When did that happen? I mean, it's clear that, if you're an actual gamer, the DS is better, but if you're a "x whore", then the PSP is better.

Somehow, I don't totally believe this. Which model are you using? I haven't had different results with mine, but I'm curious to hear if you've filed down the edges of a DS Phat or something. The only time I ever have hand cramps with my DS is when I'm playing one of them fancy pants one-handed game like Metroid.

No man, just the weirdness of the lite cramps it up. Straight up, shiny, rounded edged lite. The micro is actually really comfortable. Its the easiest to play, say, Mega Man Zero on for me.

Also, Monster Hunter 3. Wii wins.

Hmm. Well, I've had very much the opposite as far as my experiences go. My friend has one (he's threatened to abandon it once he gets a DS), and even though he loves it, I can't touch it without cramping up.

The Micro's pixels also mess with my eyes, but I suppose that's because I'm used to them being larger.

DS > PSP

The graphics are downsised, and there's many bit's without voice acting, but yes, it does offer everything Disgaea did.
