Damn! They're nearly identical! Except for the hair/beard/glasses.

Seriously... it's one of those movie that I'll probably never watch. And yeah, white Goku is just... no.

Yeah, I actually found Roshi to be the most accurate portrayal in the bunch...

I mean, WHAT IS UP WITH BULMA SHE NEVER HAD GUNS.

And piccolo looks like Pinhead from Hellraiser. except without the pins in his head.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Bleach movie. That could work out.

Guys, guys, guys--you're thinking WAY too small.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Who DOESN'T want to see ZA WORUDO on the silver screen!?

Me. And JoJo's is my favorite manga. And I'm sorry, but Yoshikage Kira was so much cooler than Dio Brando. Yeah, Dio is definitely awesome, but what could he do, shoot bile from his eyes and freeze time? Good job, Jotaro learned how to as well and caused your entire body to explode, and then threw you from a helicopter.

Motherfuckin' Kira could turn ANYTHING into a bomb, he has the ability to ALTER the future, separate his hand into an invincible heat seeking bomb, MERGE WITH STRAY CAT AND FIRE OFF EXPLOSIVE AIR BUBBLES and more or less pulled the greatest mind **** on a 13 year old kid. Oh, and guess what, HE'S NEVER BESTED BY THE HEROES. How does he die? He's 5 seconds away from killing every one of the main characters, and gets sucked away to hell by ghosts in a haunted alleyway. I mean, goddamn, it takes HELL to kill this guy. Plus he's got the pinstripe suit and is probably smarter than Dio. So cool.

Then there's Kars. Same thing. He is immortal and invincible, can turn his body into anything ever conceived by mother nature, and just floats around in outer space for thousands of years until he shuts his own mind down.

Back on topic, after I saw the trailer the other day I can understand why they cast Jason Marsters as Piccolo. He looks like a damn vampire.
Also, its Warudo.

I watched the trailer, and I was tempted to vomit. You have no idea how frustrated I am right now.

Because I KNOW that somebody is actually going to watch that movie and like it.

And god forbid, I'm going to have to drown them in their own ****ing blood.

Only anime I can think of that would look good live might be Full Metal Alchemist. Maybe Speed Grapher. Noein is possible too. I've watched a lot of anime and can't really think of any others.

To many animes are 100% fiction for a real life movie to be good. The three above are based in a real world and merely embelish real life concepts of science into something more fantasy related... Fullmetal kinda takes it past the "plausable" limit, but the other two I could actually see happening to some extent.

If they ever do make Fullmetal Alchemist in a real life action movie, it could better be good. Or else there will be blood and there will be dead producers and directors and writers and actors.

....Seriously, HOW could this NOT work as a movie?! I mean, they killed that latino guy the same way in Ghost!

Whatever; this movie's gonna fail, and JoJo, Lupin, Capt. Harlock, Onizuka, and Kenshiro are just going to sit back and cry manly tears at how terrible it was.

Make a Ninja Scroll movie.

1) Take Hero.
2) Add unnecessary gore.
3) It's done.

Cont'd:

4. Add in the scene where the girl gets captured by that rock-skinned guy, and some other dude bangs er
5. ??????
6. PROFIT

Also worth considering:
Lupin the III; just make it look like an old James Bond movie. It could work. I mean, Lupin pretty much is an old version of James Bond. Then again, I'd like to know how they'd handle the old 'Fujiko Gun'....

I dont think being realistic is an issue at all.

Its how far people are willing to go to make a good movie. notice how I said good and not FAITHFUL TO SOURCE MATERIAL, because if it isnt, it can still be totally fuckin rockin.  Truth is they're not very willing to make a good db movie. Its not that they cant either.

Forbidden kingdom was like perfect DB world. Even that main character kid woulda been an awesome goku. Give him an extendo pole and a nimbus cloud and hes ****ing good to go.

I must agree with Rev for once. Take the original Dracula movie and that recent remake - they're infuriatingly unfaithful to the novel, but they're still good to watch. That said, the novel is far better. This film could well be a success, even if it enrages the hardcore fans.

And besides, who's going to own up to being an 18-year-old DBZ zealot?
