URGENT: RPGmaker file fried.

For my school project, I decided to make a game in RPGmaker 2000. One day, my RPGmaker 2000 stopped working, so I reinstalled it. After that, however, I tried to open the game file, and it refuses to open! Trying to open the game itself from the RPG_RT.exe yeilds the same results. The game/RPGmaker becomes unresponsive, and refuses to work. Is there any way to fix this? Or is my game lost forever?

The file may be corrupted somehow.

Try to run as administrator.

I can't test that untill my home computer gets fixed, but it wouldn't fix the main problem of not being able to get into it to edit it. Thank you though.
