If I actually did kill the dude, I bet you guys would feel pretty bad.
Feel? My dear, this is the internet! There is no such thing!

So I take it you're considering the possibility.

We only advocate that if he is, in fact, a zombie. In that case full use of the shotgun/phoenix down is encouaged.

Yeah! That! Zombies are already dead, therefor your not killing anything. ^_^ But only if he's an ichor dripping zombie!

We had this creepy guy who always took pictures of girls and their buttcracks.
And like, standing on the walkway above and taking the photo down the girls' tops below.

He usually tried to pick up all these young girls in my art class, like "wanna go to this party my friend is having?" and "How about you come over to my place? I got some really good artwork there.", "Hey, wanna get a drink sometime?", "I love your dress, looks good on you. Really makes your look hawt" and anything starting with "I watched this anime yesterday and..-"
And he usually sat and watched all this anime/hentai thingies when he wasn't busy stalking girls.

I couldn't help myself and told the guy to leave the girls alone. I can't do anything about photos and such. But at least I can make him know that it isn't cool.
I and everyone else could tell that they were far from interested in him. He did left for some minute if the teacher told him to - but he came back.

My kind was not nerdy-creepy as yours. Just pervert-creepy.
And you need to let the pervert-creepy people to know that what they're doing isn't okay. because they all have this illusion that they are cool and manly when they do.

Damn...You probably could have notified someone about the up skirt/down blouse voyeurism. I think they would have taken it seriously (I know at least my state would stick you on the sex offender registry for that crap).

And although this guy isn't nearly that bad, I wouldn't be creeped out if he were just nerdy. Hell, I'm a nerd. I love nerds. But I'd be afraid to drop a pencil and have to bend over to pick it up around this guy, so I guess that means I think he may be a bit of a perv.

Oh, I forgot to mention something that happened last week. I was going to get a drink of water while in another class and encountered him in the hall. Though I tried to make a casual wave suffice, he insisted on knowing what class I'm in, what I'm doing in there, etc. A few minutes later, the class was pulled upstairs into the dark room to get a tutorial on printmaking, and he followed me into the class and stayed in there for a few minutes. Mind you, he is definitely not a student in this class, and in fact he was supposed to be in some digital design class, but he felt it necessary to look in on what I was doing.

Well, nothing can be done as long as he keeps the pictures to himself and keep them away from the public. (As in: not showing people what he got and then simply removing the SD card if someone asks to see what he got on his phone).
They can't prove anything without proof. We're just pretty much waiting for someone's boyfriend to find out and kick his ***.

And about following you into the dark: Keep a torch close if he tries to bite you.

Valiere, I hope you do realize that not protesting this sort of thing at all is a form of saying you approve of it, right? I understand that you don't want to be a jerk and tell him off, but at some point you have to say something, else you're giving off some pretty strong signals that you have no problem with it at all.

Your behavior has me a bit confused. Women!

Oh, come now. We women are socialized to be polite, and when the guy is -- to an outsider -- only making conversation, it's hard to snap at him. If he crosses the line, and I don't even know where that line is yet but I'll know when he crosses it, my first action will be to tell the teacher. She loves me and will probably do everything she can to make sure he never makes me uncomfortable again.

Now, you men....need to learn what nonverbal cues mean a woman doesn't want to talk to you. Lack of eye contact. Terse responses. Not smiling. Walking away. The fun thing about nonverbal language is, if interpreted properly, it means no one has to be "shot down" or feel embarrassingly rejected. It makes it easier for everyone.

You guys have it lucky. I doubt you've ever had to deal with a creepy girl.

You would be amazed.

For me at least, the line would have been them following me into a class that he's not a part of. That's a fairly large society no-no. That would have also been a golden opportunity to say something to him along the lines of not following you, since you'd have the fact that he didn't belong in the class on your side, so it's barely even a rejection yet it gives you a chance to say something.

Part of me wonders if you are enjoying yourself in the situation. The little games of pretending to be polite... to what end? Do you really dislike this guy that much after all? Because, though you claim it's "easier for everyone" your way, it doesn't seem to be getting results, and I'm having a hard time believing that it's simpler than the truth.

By accusing me of enjoying this, you have insulted me. That's pretty damn outrageous, Sai'Kar. No, I don't freaking want this guy to follow me around and strike up uncomfortable conversation with me. But is it really that hard to understand why I'm reluctant to tell him off? It creates uncomfortable tension with a classmate who I'll be forced to encounter at least once a week. If the following thing happens again, yeah, I'll bring it up. If he follows me outside, I'll definitely bring that up.

But the fact is, it's my right to decide when I've had enough. The fact that I simply want to be cautious enough in my assessment that in the off-chance that he is simply a socially awkward but well-meaning person, I don't end up offending him, does not justify your accusation that I enjoy any part of this.

That's not entirely true. Happens a lot of times over here in Sweden at least. I've learned the hard way that women are far from how they used to be and behave. As in; ladies.

As for the part about the nonverbal cues... I can tell, but not everyone. And not every woman can either.  Not to brag but I've seen a couple of them even on me. Even though I barely say anything in reply and keep staring into a computer screen they will keep talking. Trying to get my attention even though I'm clearly not interested.

So yeah, it's more of a "person to person" problem and not a "gender to gender".

I'm not sure why you'd take that as an insult. I freely admit that none of your personal decisions in life are any of my business normally, but by creating this thread you've put it all out there on display, so here we are talking about it.

In any event, it was not my intention to offend, and I apologize.

Easier to say these things online than in person, eh?

Yes. Quite frankly, yes it is hard to understand.

It would create awkwardness between you and him, but not as much as it is creating right now, and only to you.

Also him following you around was enough to tell at least your teacher.
