Paint can't rotate. One of the few bad things about it.
And rotating sprites usually make them rather blurry,

On piant you can rotate by 90, 180, 270 degree angles, so you can flip things around.

(by selecting it using the dashed box and than right clicking to "Flip/Rotate..." than you can flip it and rotate it a bit

That is of course a very limited rotation. Doesn't even do diagonals. :\

Ok let me change my statement.

Paint can't freely rotate objects.
You can choose from a list(90-270, horizontal and vertical) or type your own numbers into one of these two fields.
Although I must admitt that it always gets hella' screwed when I try to type a number.

I don't have that option, to type in a number. :( I have other tools though for effects and stuff though.

You could like. Just make a new sprite of the same thing but turned diagonally instead.
It's not like the player will notice that it was made without the same quality. It will only show for a couple of milliseconds.
