Yeah even photoshop is used vastly in the pixel art community. i specially use it for the color replacement edit that can easily help you gain the best out of your sprite.

Besides obvious filler effects/shadows and aa, how could people know you use photoshop?

Well, the colour count is a big give away.
In theory, theres no way to know 100%, but i mean, things like dithering and antialiasing when done by hand, as opposed to being done by tools, is a bit on the obvious side.

Its another thing to edit your colours with PS, or something similar.
But I mean, If you are doing pixel art, for the sake of doing REAL pixel art, cheating is kind of stupid. Like cheating at solitare.

Actually I am withdrawing. This week got busy, and yesterday my only free day I spent it on watching a;; episodes of K-on! ._.

I have the sprite made up to the point of basic colors but I have stuff to do tonight and it might rail til late.

So I'll just update my gallery whenever I am done with it.

Yeah. don't worry about it Val. This was my first time making a monster sprite, and I think it turned out alright. If I can do it, you can too (and probably better).

 I can't really think of anything, I've been involved in summer school, and Halo3, and my own RPG maker project, and My friends RPg maker project. So I'll be dropping out.
