...and I am so pissed off over losing my progress on Control Case's movement system that I feel I must make a topic about it. Discuss your computer failures now so that I may feel better.

My computer ended up randomly powering down during an update, and I had to get the hard drive wiped, due to the ownage it had upon it.
It sucked.

My display drivers seem to die at random and then "recover" so that everything is slightly blurry, as though some of the pixels have been smeared downwards.

I have no idea what its deal is.

The other day, my mom's spare computer's Internet Explorer wouldn't work, no matter how many times she tried reinstalling and updating it (this is in Windows XP, by the way). So for the time being, she had me install Firefox on it.

Which is hilarious considering she has argued with me in the past multiple times about how much Firefox sucks because "nobody uses it" and "it isn't mainstream", and "no websites load properly in it" (she has never used Firefox, by the way), etc.

I had a problem like that too FFL, both with IE and Firefox. My Firefox went whack like that when I first got my Vista, and I didnt know how to fix it. IE started screwing up earlier this year, and it turned out to be due to an update for my system. I had to do a system restore to undo the update, and had to switch it so my computer wouldn't update without permission. Firefox is still dead to me, though. :(

Well, when I do things I'm really not supposed to be doing, sometimes, **** doesn't work right.

Otherwise, I'm pretty much fine.

I've received the infamous blue screen many times for the past 2-3 weeks. But now I think it's working fine.

I use Vista. Works fine for me.

Then again, I have only had internet for not even 6 months.

Looks like the time my friend slammed a mouse (hard) inside his laptop, or when my sister accidentally leaned a textbook on hers for a day...

When on battery power, my laptop likes to make the screen go completely one color.  The best to fix it is to put it into sleep mode and then wake it up again.  More often though, it needs to be restarted.
