So yeah, apparently Disney is making something that isn't Hannah Montana/Jonas Brothers related, and best at that, it's actually a traditional cartoon.
I haven't seen one of these since...Iron Giant I think.
I mean...wow, I'm actually surprised, and even slightly impressed.
Did Disney actually pull it's head out of it's ***?
I don't think so, judging from recent events, but this might be a good start.

Yeah, apparently they changed their minds.
Probably realized that there is still a market for 2d animation.
Not a very big one, because 3d is more "real", but it's still there.

Disney hasn't made cartoons for ages. Pixar does their 3D awesome, and Disney enjoys the outsourcing.

Wonder who they've conned into this little project?

id imagine they conned..well...their own animation studio. the one they've been using for like, 75 years. just a shot in the dark. Call me crazy...

I will. You're crazy.

But that seems reasonable enough. I suppose it's just hard for me to see Disney as a company that isn't evil. Bias, or whatever.

well, i mean, they ARE a huge company. Theyre in it for the money, its not about "making the world a better place for jesus" or anything. Being an AMERICAN multi-national corporation, means that they probably are evil though.

They will probably re-use their old animations and add new characters to it. Just like they did back in the days.
There are a lot of reappearing scenes in their films, the exact same motions only new clothes and/or animals.

Finally! I got tired of 3D movies. I know they're cheaper to make, but sheesh! I'm just glad to see something on paper for once

I don't blame them. At that time, they didn't have a thousand guys doing animation. They'd have one... or two. Check the credits, at most they have 10 in those old movies. Can you imagine drawing the thousands of scenes in each of those movies? Re-using a scene here and there (most of which are unimportant at that) is hardly a crime.
