Actually I think this is the real trailer for it:

(LMAO, this clip and the synopsis go so well together.)

Don't be expecting to see any more of this guy.

I hate all the crappy 3D movies everyone has been making. I hope this will cause some other studios too want to give 2D another chance... but I doubt it.

Disney hasn't made cartoons for ages. Pixar does their 3D awesome, and Disney enjoys the outsourcing.

Wonder who they've conned into this little project?

No, Pixar doesn't do all of their 3D cartoons, just most. Meet the Robinson's for instance was all Disney, no Pixar.

Oh, so that's why I thought that movie sucked.

That's why I can't think of any other examples.

I already can't remember your example.

Whether or not you realize it, (As perhaps you've never gone to close to or known others who have been in the "deep south") but those areas are quiet racist. Perhaps this is going to be another way Disney tries to futher our awareness of other cultures with a splash of children stories? They'll sometimes do that, if you've never noticed. At least Family Guy is more direct, instead of beating around the bush. Though either way, because they're drawn cartoons they come off more as fairy tales. Discuss, if you will. I think Disney's 2-D animated features have been so much more cultural and world aware than their shallow 3-D counterparts.

Don't worry, I like it here, X, so I may still be around ;). Lighen up anyways. You act like you've never seen or talked to a black person indepth. :P

Obviously you didn't read the Wikipedia page, because there's been a lot of controversy (bullshit controversy, however) about how they should treat this movie.
Such as naming schemes, location, stuff like that.
And some dude thinks it shouldn't be made because "French Quarter is a place where bad things happened to African Americans!"
*coughbullshitcough*
It's a location.
They wanted that "Louisiana style" to the movie.

I come to this place to escape the Family Guy quotes, links, and annoyances. Bring them here, and I'll find you.

On-topic, yeah, race card, lawsuit, corrupting children, it's all bad stuff.

There has been talk about this movie for a while. I'm glad Disney is backtracking to their traditional ways of animation as oppose to churning out 3D bullshit, like that weird hamster movie, the ripoff of Madagascar, or meet the Robinsons.

I'm glad Disney is trying to give this movie a different cultural spotlight. I think the people saying that this movie may be offensive are simply single-minded, and they do not realize that EVERY race has been parodied for years.

lol, I'm not offended by it. I actually highly doubt black americans are even offended by it. The only ones who would be offended by it are white americans who are afraid of looking bad infront of other ethnicities, because they don't realize that a huge majority of black americans laugh about it just as much as anyone else.

The idea of Disney going back to the arena it thrived in in the first place is awesome, and a smart move on their part. Stop doing your minor league stuff and go back to where you're king of the big leagues. I do wonder if I'd watch it though. It doesn't seem like I'd connect with it, because It is geared at a whole generation passed me.

None-the-less, lets hope Disney gets enough encouragement from doing this that they keep it up.

Oh, so that's why I thought that movie sucked.

I bet it wasn't as bad as "The Wild"! What, you don't remember "The Wild"? Neither does anyone else.

Disney's gotten it right once though...."Bolt" was pretty good. But I think they had a guy from Pixar helming it. I think they better have Pixar hold their hand for a few more films before they're grown up enough to make their own movies.

On the subject of racial matters...this is exactly why studios balk at having black protagonists most of the time. It's just a powder keg of potential controversy. I remember Will Smith said in an interview about the movie "Hitch" that the studio execs were unsure of what race his love interest in the movie would be...If she were black, people would dub this a "black movie" and possibly avoid seeing it; if she were white, it could incite some backlash from people who oppose interracial relationships. So they settled on a Latina.

Similarly, I read that Disney was concerned about the new black princess' love interest....if it's a white guy, people will wonder why the black princess doesn't get a love interest the same race as she is like the other princesses do. If it's a black guy, people will say Disney's against interracial dating. So they settled on an "ambiguously brown" prince.
