It does suck, though... expect many deaths. These guys tend to ravage a lot.

Yeah, it's bad. Hopefully they get that nuclear plant situation under control soon, or it could get a whole lot worse.

On the lighter side, Suntory have announced that their vending machines (which dispense beer and cigarettes) have an opening handle hidden under a label for situations like these.

Judging from the very confusingly-written article that I read over my lunch break today, it would seem that many hundred are now confirmed deaths. Hopefully no one here was caught up in the mess.

So yeah, That place is pretty much soaked now and A nuclear power plant needs electricity in order to prevent a meltdown.

And last time I heard anything there were abnormalities around Hawaii

There was a fellow on BBC News talking about the plant this morning. Since the core is undamaged, the venting of Radioactive Death Gases may have been a conscious decision because there's nobody around and the material is very short-lived. They're now thinking of flooding the plant with seawater and boric acid, which will cool everything down and kill all the nuclear processes. If they do that, the plant will never work again, but it may be the only option they have.

It should be alright anyway.
