Well, Charas got me into a relationship.

So I should really be thankful to you, Alex =)

Seconded, even though I haven't been around that long. :P

You must  get a tattoo of my avatar. I mean, not the current, animated one, but rather a fun, stylized one that someone around these parts decides is awesome.

It would be a hit with all the ladies.

It inspired me to keep working on my game through dark times! I've practically learned to
sprite and animate all by myself because of it :D

I sure hope I have.
Pre-Charas me was a terrible, petty, self-absorbed bastard drunk off endless praise from people who had no clue what they were talking about.

Sweet. I got a two page thread. Wazzup Charas! ;D

Overall I'm really thankful I got into RPG Maker. I'll probably never finish a game. I've actually started on two, but they are non-serious hobbies compared to what I do in the real world. I did take in a lot of great art skills from this site.

For anyone interested in my real life, I'm an airman now stationed as Osan AB, Korea. I signed up for 6 years, and I have 3 years left over. I have a following assignment to Aviano AB, Italy. AWESOME!! I actually just finished a two year assignment at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom. Despite the great assignments and the money, I have no intention of staying military. I'm pursing a career in music, particularly as a solo artist/composer as well as pursuit in musical theater. I excel mainly in R&B, Gospel, Funk, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Soul, but I'm very adept in other styles-Pop, Rock, Metal, Industrial, Dance, Film/Videogame Music, and Classical. My cousin Sinatra' work for the Alliance Theater Production Company really sparked an interest there. Seriously, I went to the Michael Jackson show in London once and I was out singing some of the cast. They almost put me out. :p In the Air Force, I've performed in several base chapel bands/choirs, as well as several open mic nights off base. If possible, I'm going to try for the Tops In Blue program. I also have my aunt who owns a recording studio and is very interested in my case. MORE AWESOME!!

If anyone's wondering why I joined the military, my family was in a terrible money situation and I needed it fast. The lifestyle sucks but these people do take care of you moneywise. =/

In between 1999-2000 I was 23 y/o, and i met RPGMaker.
You know the story: I was so bad in creating sprites that i decided, just for fun, to try creating a sort of Character Generator.

Long story short, now doing online generators is my main job. So I'd really say Charas changed my life a "little bit"! Smiley

Dude, Alex posted in my thread. :)

Cool. I still have a year to Aviano, but I visited Venice once. Italy's a wonderful country. :)

You know, then we should thank Don Miguel for RPGM itself, too!
But I know what really leaded me to RPGM, and so i know the very source of this all: it was CHRONO TRIGGER!!!!
I found about RPGM only beause i really felt in love with CT, and that was the first step for whatever happened later.

If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh.

Oh man. OH MAN. Alex posting, and talking about Don Miguel (I loved his sample game with himself, the dog and the cat!) and also quoting Magus from Chrono Trigger.

This is a perfect post.

I'll talk about my own experiences later. Right now I have to just revel in it.

Well, considering I made my first account here in, god, I don't know, 2005? Yeah, I would say I've changed quite a bit.

I would give you guys a fair bit of credit, though, for embracing my blossoming nerddom, where the physical realm was more reluctant to. I have a few good friends in real life that I can relate to on this level though, and that's enough for me.

Charas changed my life I reckon.  All the fun times in the charas pub and such came in a kinda lonely part of my life and it was really good to be able to come back from school to all you guys and those in the past.

It certainly feels like an old friend.
