Yes, indeed. Kraid's theme is amazingly great.

The Pokemon series have started to pick it up with the music, but with the decent music (D/P's Team Galactic Theme, B/W's Gym Leader Battle), there are also some annoying ones (anything played during a legendary battle).

Pretty much can't be fucked making a list. I know Shadow of the Colossus would be at the top of it. Deus Ex is in there somewhere up high. Megaman 2, definetly. Metal Gear Solid, also, not sure which specific one though. Mother 3 and Iji are high on the list. Duke Nukem 3D and Street Fighter 4 also. No More Heroes is in the list (a game I haven't even gotten around to playing). Silent Hill Shattered Memories has some really damn memorable music. One of the STALKER games is up there, hard to say which given they all basically use the same music.

Pretty much anything from Bionic Commando: Rearmed was awesome. The original game's music was cool and all, but that crazy remixing action brought it to new heights.

Favs - Not in any order:
1. Shadow of the Colossus
2. Donkey Kong Country 2
3. Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3 (Turns out MJ did the 3rd one. :P)
4. Bioshock (I LOVE This one)
5. Vagrant Story
6. Final Fantasy VI (The friggin Opera)
7. Chrono Cross (There's this really nice island feel to the tracks.)
8. FFXII (A lot of it I actually don't like but some tracks are just amazing. Eryut Village Especially)
9. Street Fighter 4 (OH GOD YES. Especially Cammy's Theme.)

Like... Ballad of the Wind Fish! (From Link's Awakening, since Majora's Mask's sucks)
I was so excited to hear this mentioned in Majora's (if nothing else, it sort of makes LA canon!) but the song in that game was totally different from the LA version. Major disapointment. :(

6. Final Fantasy VI (The friggin Opera)
Not much of a fan of this in game, but the rendition used for this for the PS port's final cutscene was EXTREMELY POWERFUL.

Wonderful soundtrack. So good. I actually had this one imported from Japan (the only time I've ever done that) and was shocked to find that it has BASS. Tracks like Chronopolis, already great, sound so much more powerful when each THUM THUM shakes the room a little.

Lengendary battles are a bit hit and miss. I think the Ho-oh fight music from HG/SS is amazing, but the Lugia was pretty awful. And Natako already pointed out the EPIC SHOWDOWN that is the final fight. (Sidenote: Gold and Silver are one of the few sequel games I can think of where you actually fight a rendition of yourself from the first game. SUCH AN AWESOME IDEA. Why isn't this used more often?!)

Though this Dungeon music isn't bad... it gets really repetitive. Especially since it's the same music for every single Dungeon, except the last.

And Lucas... Majora's Mask's "Ballad of the Wind Fish" is an insult to the original one from Link's Awakening. I was extremely disappointed to hear this... crap.
And you know what's even better? Ballad of the Wind Fish (the real one) was apparently supposed to be in Smash Bros. Brawl, but wasn't. WHY!?

Oh, and... you can all laugh at me if you want, but I did like a few of Animal Crossing's musics!

Yes, the original Ballad of the Wind Fish was something epic. Really worth going through eight dungeons just to hear it.

I have to agree with this. I remember getting all excited to hear the Ballad of the Wind Fish in Majora's Mask and then when I started putting the parts together, I was like...what the hell? This sounds nothing like it. It was a cool idea to put the different instruments together like that, but I guess that the fact that the C-buttons only allowed for limited melodies made the original Ballad of the Windfish impossible...or something.

You know what game had good music? Symphony of the Night.

I guess the title alone would suggest this.

HELL YEAH! Castlevania SotN rocks! My favorite Castlevania game and one of my top 5 games of all time.
I was actually gonna go with tragic prince, but I just decided on Bloodlines because bloody tears isn't as good as everyone says (I swear it's the Wily stage 1 of Castlevania), and Tragic Prince wasn't... memorable enough I guess.

But I do love its soundtrack, especially Tragic Prince (Duh), Crystal Teardrops, the prologue theme, and the remix of the Dracula battle theme from CVX.

Probably the coolest thing about the Ballad  was that you could play it at the egg any time after you got the Ocarana, which you could get as early as after the 3rd dungeon. Every time I beat a dungeon on my first playthrough, I'd go up to the egg and play the Ballad and listen to it with a newly added insturment and hearing the song get stronger and stronger. Really added to the sense of acomplishment and progression.

Yes, that was always fun to do.

I kind of wish they'd find a way to give us that sense of accomplishment over time in the newer games.
