Well, its official (since before november? Did I miss the topic for it or something?!).  The new RPG Maker will fix some of the things we hated about VX and add some pretty cool new things.  (Able to edit damage algorithms, character generator)  What do you think?  Will you be giving it a try?

Fffffuck you. I want to try making a game again. It'll never happen, but I want to try once more. It's like I can feel it finally being complete this time.

They are planning on giving free copies via their twitter.  And a discount is expected for current VX users.

Haha.  

I mean, VX was pretty nice, but it just had those major drawbacks. (Like the tileset issue) -- but it looks like those changes might be what it needed.  Anything else interesting in there HTML?

The character/face generator is note worthy. Dual backdrops, terrain management, movie playback and other things here and there. Man but the tile thing. WHy didn't just make that from the beginning? It's frustrating having to do it through script on VX.

Aw yeah, multiple tile sets are back!

One of the reasons I didn't bother with RPG Maker anymore.

EDIT: Guys, I know it's not cool and all, but I just got the RPG Maker VX Ace (it's even translated to portuguese o_O).

I've been away from the business for a looong time, but I'll give it a try again!
