Wii U

I know some of you already have one.

Gonna get some money back from my taxes soon and figured I could go buy a wii u.

So far I know I'm gonna get monster hunter and nintendo land.

Injustice looks good, like mortal kombat (9). Just never been a big fan of the DC characters.

New super mario bros U seems like a typical mass produced mario game, but if it got multiplayer I won't complain.

Tekken tag tournament 2, I don't have this for PS3 so I might get it for Wii U, I'm just not sure if I will like the controls for it.

Zombie U, people say it's great, I might just believe them.

Ninja gaiden 3, Only ninja gaiden i've played is the old old old ones that were all platformer, but I like them hack and slashes.

And then in the future I'm expecting that new xenoblade, windwaker remake, a new super smash, and obviously a new zelda, mario kart, mario party, metroid.

Not really interested in mass effect or assasins creed or deus ex though.

Any ideas what games might be worth getting for this thing? 'Cuz so far I have 2 games I'm certain I'll get but that's like one console for 2 games.

I have absolutely no reason to buy a Wii U myself. Hate the tablet controller idea, no exclusives that draw me to it, and all the multiplatforms is stuff I already own or can get for the consoles / pc I already own.

Only reason I'd get one is to play xenoblade 2. TBH, the rest of the stuff out on it looks like crap, and most of that crap you can get on other systems.

ZombieU isnt bad, they fixed the game breaking glitch i believe.

New games will be annouced during E3 time, including info on SSB4.

Tablet controller is actually great and convenient. Works really well for Monster Hunter too. Acts as another tv so u can watch tv while playing certain games. You can go directly to the internet while playing, its comfortable and the touch screen makes a lot of things better. You can watch netflix on the shitter without a laptop that might need a table or something.

Its backwards compatible with wii. Not many games yet, but give it some time. Plus if u get a deluxe version and DL games digitally u get 10% eshop credit back and that makes the on sale 30 cent VC games basically free. Paid 1.28 for 4 games, one of them Super Metroid.

My room mate had a Wii U. He said Batman Arkham City was really good.

The Wii U doesn't look appealing to me at all, but everyone I know who has one says they love it.

Well I wasn't planning on getting maddens NFL.


So basically the wii u is like how ps3 was at release. They pushed the console without the desired games.

Still not happy that they don't have GC capability, games, memory cards and worst of all, controllers. Can't imagine playing brawl without one.

That's really old Backwards capability, you can't blame that on Nintendo. Memory cards have been wiped out since last gen, and it does have controllers. I'll give you the games one though.

They might put some GC games on the Virtual Console, you never know.  They may even make a wireless gamecube controller compatible with the system.  Nintendo loves tons of controllers.

EA isn't a good company anyways from what I've heard and i doubt many people here even play sports games.  Didn't the dude that tweeted his hate for nintendo complain how he couldn't code games for it?  But in all honesty, if i wanna play sports, I'll play them in real life with the exception of the games that do some crazy **** with them. Example: Mario Golf.

If you play around with the classic controller controls, you can make Brawl play the way you want, it just takes some getting used to the adjustment. 

I have nothing against other game companies, it's just annoying when people bash the company's systems they don't own.  If your gonna bad mouth other companies, you're just asking for a huge argument.  All of them have good games and bad games.

Worst company. EA is a publisher and outsources it's development to development teams.

Either way, they were voted worst company for their FIFA 2012/13 scandal, Mass Effect 3 ending, Dragon Age 2, Star Wars The Old Republic and butchering / killing a bunch of franchises / development teams.

I personally think that EA have stepped up lately, they used to be so much worse.

I ordered my Wii U today, a premium with nintendo land and(which I now realize must be like wii sports) monster hunter 3 ultimate package blablabla cost around $450 or something, not sure about the exact exchange rate. But y'know. Seemed like a fair price.

But I kinda realized that there aren't a lot of nintendo made games out yet, most of them are kinda American made remakes.

Oh well, hoping for the future or E3 or something.
