Let them do what they want.  The internet has already grown beyond the point of control.  It'll be just like when you were younger and your parents or your school tried to block websites and channels from you that they deemed inappropriate until you inevitably find a way to get around it.  All this will do is allow people the opportunity to improve their knowledge on how to bypass restrictions.

Anyway, as Oooog pointed out, those who still want porn and the like will find ways to get it but the children will have a harder time doing it. Which is kinda okay since UK got like one of the youngest age of porn watching or something averaging at age 12 or such. I saw some documentary some years back about it.

That's not the problem. There are already porn filters. This is a question about filtering it by default and not by choice. Parents that are worried about their children CAN already filter their computers and their internet. I find it ridiculous that everyone has to filter it by default, forcing people to choose not to filter, while it's a minority that actually wants it filtered, and that there are already solutions for these people if they weren't too retarded to work it out.

This is possibly one of the stupidest things Cameron has done since rocketing university fees. All of us hard-working teen-to-student-aged-people work hard in life, and we deserve our porn! People's computer illiteracy has caused this. People who are too stupid to even attempt to filter their own content shouldn't be allowed the internet. I know it's hard to imagine, but some people have a real hard time with PC, like the ones who have millions of additional task bars because they accept anything that pops into their face, and those who don't understand that Internet doesn't only mean Internet Explorer.
