Old account help
« on: January 05, 2015, 11:04:12 AM »
Hello, not sure where to post this, trying to access my old account neb87,  since its about 4 years old about, don't remember the password and have the email account anymore.  Besides just using a new account, would be awesome if I could retrieve old account some how.

I think it's possible for an admin to reset your password and then tell you what it is so that you can log in again.

I could restore it, if you can prove that you are in fact our 87th neb.

Honestly, I don't see the point in lying about that particular account. There's nothing special, and making a new account would be easy enough. I can't exactly prove that's THE neb, but I don't see why anyone else would want to impersonate neb.

Do you, sir Nebulous, think you could remember the password to your email if we were to reset your password for this account, send it to the email attached to the account, and inform you of what the email account was?

Archem has a good point, but if privacy is a concern, then I think my suggestion might be a decent compromise.
