Callete. I know each new remix of this game makes for a good joke, but the name does have significant plot relevance. I swear! :P

Good to see this is till in progress.

Also, I would love to see a shadow or pillars or something under that bridge. Just so I know how close to the water it is :/

Meis, you're aesthetic eye is always greatly appreciated. Mapping is not my strong point.

I found something amazing the other day and I wanted to share it with you guys. It's called LMMS, it's an audio editing program with all the bells and whistles (almost) that Fruity Loops or other reputable, and expensive, similar programs have. So I immediately started messing around with it and came up with two remixes I'm quite happy with. I'm thinking I may convert the whole sound track to .ogg.

Aww. It's not a game about the Penguin Opus from the old 60's comic strip? Darn. Still impressive visuals! Shme I can only see three characters though. Is that so it's not spoiled for us latter? Or are they all you get?

I had to google that. I'll have to sneak that into the game some how. xD

There will be more characters. There are 6 others confirmed and a possible two more, making 11 possible characters. I actually hadn't thought to post anything about them, I'll do that later.

Oh wow I remember that old Comic! I first discovered it placed int he bathroom as reading material by my brother when he was crashing here. He had a whole omnibus of the original strips both color and black and white as well as some historical texts about it. XD Always lved that penguin. My favorite next to the Penguins of Madagascar. Also glad to hear that their will be more than Jake, Timber and ......Ah can't remember his name! Hector? No that was the king guy. Hmm bah! Anywho also want to tell you that AoA demo I had? Broke. =/ The Zip file is corupt so I'll have to wait till Opus comes out anyway to get the whole story. ^_^

Parry? Parry's the old guy with white hair in the screenshots. His sprite has received a major overhaul since that screenshot was taken. Hector's no longer a king either. It's like a whole new game. wooow... :P

Also, as much as I like that demo for showcasing the skilltree system, the storyline was kind of... rushed and silly. Some of the bosses were uninteresting or overpowered and the experience system was totally shot. Purp told me he got his characters to level 25 before the game bugged out... I expected players to be around level 15 at that point. haha. There were many balancing issues.

In my defense I found a way to cross a mountain somewhere that allowed me to grind easily. There was a town on one side and a mountain pass or cave of some sort filled with strong monsters. So I just used up all my mana in battle to kill everything then exited to world map, crossed that mountain and healed up.

Oh yeah, I had forgotten about that. I think you found an area that was supposed to be inaccessible and had broken monsters that gave you crazy exp? Maybe? Either way, your play through inspired me to create an EXP system similar to pokemon, where EXP given fluctuates depending on player level versus enemy level.

I have an announcement as well! This friday, RMN is hosting an event called Release Something Day. I'll be posting a tech demo as my entry. It won't be anything crazy, but will highlight battle mechanics and preliminary graphics. There are still some bugs, but I'll be postin a changelog of sorts with all known bugs and issues. So far as I know, there's nothing game breaking, though that will likely change once other people start trying it out.

Aww if you had done it today you'd have really made my day since I'm at the library DLing some some software I deleted accidently.^^; I'll probably not be able to get a ride on Friday so it'll be a while before I can tell you what I think.
