Does the game have any story elements build into it, or did you just flesh out the mechanics? I'm interested to see what you came up with!

Well no, there is some sort of back story about a legendary cure called Panacea but that's about it. Since it felt kinda boring to have the same quest every playthrough I made 19 different "goals" for the game. I suppose I should make some sort of story for each quest when starting and ending the game though like those other games with the story in the manual. Like Betrayal at house on the hill, Zombiecide and Dead of winter.

The original plan was to make each "room" also have a "room event card" that triggered a specific effect when drawing the room (much like betrayal on the house) but it didn't turn out good so I skipped it.

Interesting. I really like goal-based tabletop games, because its not always very clear how you are doing with respect to the people you are playing against and so it adds this extra level of competition.

For example, in Ticket To Ride you have destination cards that give you extra points for connecting two specific cities, and everyone has their own destinations that no one else is aware of.

Goal based? I haven't seen many of those o.o Sounds interesting though. It'd be like side quests and the like to keep the game going?

Let's get a card game together! A custom game, or maybe Cards Against Humanity.
