Glad to hear, I'm pretty happy about it myself.

Especially since everything goes together so well this time. Previous games have had some more missmatch of resources and palettes and such.
I'm just glad we have so many talented people on board to make both sprites, animations and music.

I will have to try the others.  I seen a lot of references to your other titles in this game.

Out of curiosity, did someone manage to get the bonus level in Moose Trooper?

I got as far as the dude that you are suppose to kill.  And the game ended.  Was there more?

Are you going to put the game on RMN, Momeka?

I gave Red an edited version of the first game but it's not on Ich.io yet ....Which maybe be a good thing as I found the unedited one. The second it technically Wrath of Gaia (even though it's listed as the third because I count the first DOA chain =<) And the true third project was my first 100% competed project Juno's Odyssey which you can play but in about a month or less I'll be releasing a director's cut with more areas, tie-in lore for the upcoming sequel and a lot of graphics, bug and dialogue fixes.

Hey, Mystery of Spring Valley surpassed Wrath of Gaia in downloads. It's now our most downloaded chain game with 169 downloads.

Before that one there is a secret level that you can unlock by doing certain things on the first four levels.

The chain game? Hadn't thought about it. I guess it depends on what everyone else thinks. Feels kinda weird to release a community project on another communities site.

Haven't had time. If you got an unedited version then feel free to send it to me and I'll upload it after my vacation.

I am playing Wrath Of Gaia now.  When I get to playing Juno's Odyssey, should I wait for the director's cut?

Woot!  Maybe your next chain game will surpass MoSV.

I thought of it more like "It has a lot of potential players". itch.io is great but I feel like there's so many games released each day on the platform nowadays that a new game kinda gets lost in all of them.  I'm not so fond of RMN but usually people can see your game in the main page for a while and are more likely to play it then. You can always redirect the download to the itch.io page (the download doesn't have to be physically on RMN as far as I remember when I had my first version of Holy Whale - before removing it) to keep its features.

All right I started the game. Won't tell where I left off 'cause don't wanna spoil anything. :D
As far as I got I enjoyed it pretty much. The style kinda reminds me of Earthbound or Mother 3. It has something that is very charming and keeps reminding the player when the game is not played:*cough "You have some unfinished buisness you know?" :D
I can't put it down. I also love the references I found. Really clever and funny ones. :)
Good job guys. I like it. :D

I'm pretty sure I did get that secret level when I played, Momeka. I'm not sure what I did to trigger it though.

Yeah, You have to kill all the enemies on the first four levels. I only really really vaguely hinted at it by leaving just enough knives on the levels.

Weren't there two bonus levels? A final room and some kind of hidden door? I thought I did a room count and found one extra that didn't correspond to any of the levels I walked.

Uhm, not that I know of. Maybe if someone else added it later.

I'm actually gutted I didn't get involved with this! It looks beautiful. The only thing that ever really dissuaded me from these chain games
was the resulting lack of consistency in graphics, as we all imported different things from different places. I've played about 10 minutes of this,
and I'm super impressed! I'd love to get involved in some kind of bug hunt / testing or contribute in some way :D

Hey it was funny and very well done! Couldn't get the private jokes and references to previous games but that was fun.
I played it for two hours or so, until the point I had to enter the cave of something, after the forest of whatever.

Difficulty was pretty tight sometimes, with only one or two potions left that don't heal much. I was about to give up during the fight againt the pale guy's henchmen, but I hit the wrong command and it seems like it was the right thing to do. xD
Animation is really cool. The scene with the heroes captured by goblins was top notch humor. Great work guys.  :P

You have NO Earthly idea how much it means to me that you pointed out a scene I worked on as your favorite. I always laughed at it myself while testing the movement bits to be sure they were operating well. I never would have thought that one would anyone's fave. Thank you for restpring my faith in chain game fans!

I am sorry the inside jokes weren't able to be undetstood stand alone. Believe it or not even in my chapter, which gas always had the most I tgink even back in Wrath of Gaia, I tried to limit it mostly to old weapons and not make the same mistake I did in Juno's Odyssey. I used stuff from Lost and Found as the first level's puzzle AND punished the player with a Spirit loss of ten points. Prppl fixed it by adding a 10+ spirit bonus if you somehow got it right for each of the three steps. Pretty awesome little thing. Also put a special form for party's shape shifting summoner if you were brave enough to pick "the right dumb answer" Lol

....And we wonder why some video game easter eggs from the ninties are only being found out today....

Well, maybe I assumed too fast that some of those strange things that came out of nowhere were references to previous games and private jokes, but since the game has a lot of surreal humor it could just be that.  :D
For example I remember the sidekick saying to the protagonist that a guy fought some wizards or something years ago in this part of the city, so I imagined  it was what the player did in an older game.
But whatever it was, it doesn't prevent from following the game, so it's all good.
