I got some more updates for my game


Making with Rpg Maker 2003 and not the crappy XP

Firstly...

I am trying to pull some of the best features from other games into this game to make this game have a great Playability.

Examples..

Lots of great things from Suikoden series.. (Features) Like the castle system..

Lots of people to recruit..

MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF ITEMS TO GET AND THINGS TO DO!

DIFFERENT STORY EVERY TIME

I will also make my game Branchable..meaning that certain things that happen in the game will make the story change DRASTICALLY...  SO there will be different branches to make this game have more replayablity...I promise atleast 7 Different stories that will keep you going.

CLASS SYSTEM

Kind of hard to explain but you get the idea... Once certain prerequisites are met you will be allowed to change into certain classes... (I will try to make as many different classes as i can ok?)

TIME TRAVELLING

There will be time travelling in my game so this and the Branch system will make the game great combination..

WORLD OF SUIKODEN

I am using the world of Suikoden for my own personal reasons so do not say this sucks just cuz of that... I will edit it a little too of course.. but i am in love with their world and please do not get flamy at me... btw.. I will have the toran Republic and the Jowsten States and Holy Continent of Harmonia And 3 of my own customly added into it.

MORE MORE MORE

I have many other features that i probably have forgotten about or i will include shortly (when it comes to mind).

ADD YOUR OWN FEATURE

Now i know some people have their own ideas and I want my game to be simple but also have lots of features... So if any of you have an idea of what features i  can add that arent too complex... I will do my best to add em in... Dont be shy and share your ideas!

Give me a good explanation of your feature though so i can understand better....

How about this... I'm not really sure if it's possible but since you do have a castle system... why not spice it up a bit by adding some sort of meter of how the people in the caastle like you (some sort of affection system) depending on how the people like you or hate you could affect how the story of the game would go...

I hope this helps :D

I personally don't like the time travelling idea I've tried that in a few games and they just went down the tube. but that's up to you. As for your features, have you completed any of these? Cuz they're good ideas but completing them all will be extremely hard to do.

I do have an idea tho, with the idea the guy had above, say there's a scene where the people in the castle have to help you. If they don't like you, they jut let you die, or if they like you they help you and you may live. i don't know. Goodluck with it tho.

The Features

Yeah the affection system is kind of what im already doing with the Branching Storyline..... because depending on how you act during the story will depend on which way the story will go....
So lets say you are mad at Richy...... and instead of asking you to go on a sidequest with him... He will ask somone else and in this way it might change the main story or something..... but yes I do have the affection system.. along with many other features.. I will list you SOME Of them right now


Recipes that you give to your cook who will make special items for you.

Time Keys that will allow you to travel between different time periods.

Instead of just a castle to build up to the top. I will make a village  building system with a castle ALSO.

BluePrints that allow you to build extra rooms or buildings in your Village and castle ( you still need to recruit the rihgt person to run whatever you build if a person is required.

Class System

There Will  be classes.

Starting --->Basic--->Advanced-Expert--->Elite--->Master--->Special/Secret

For example, the starting classes will be the worst..  but I will make it a good system dont worry.

Manga Comics that you can collect which will allow you to actually read a little comic during the game with pictures and all that too.

Old books about ancient legends and stuff like that, but only a person that you must recruit can read them to you.

Massive amount of items and equipment.. Including RARE Items/Equipment

Unidentified Items that if you bring to an Appraiser they can change and actually be worth something.

A bath system where you can place stuff in your bath and also relax and talk with whomever you are with.

I have another one! Have you ever played the game Disgea? It had a party system wherein you hire a bunch of your troops with mana and depending with the amount of mana you spend on them they could either be best or the worst... Maybe you can try tying your classes system with that... maybe you need to spend a certain amount of exp in order to reach a new and better class but in order to get the highest of classes, a huge amount of exp plus taking a very hard test to prove yurself worthy of that title is needed.

I already have something like that in my game...... When you bring a character to a certain Character at a certain levle you can take the test to Upgrade your class..


Each Character Has their own form of classes.


Starting-->Basic-->Advanced-->Expert-->Elite-->Master-->Secret
Level 1      Lv 15      Lv 30           Lv 45     Lv. 60    Lv 75     LV. 90

I think in a suikoden style game, there should be atleast 12 playable characters and 13 recruitable NPC's. Whatever you do, thuogh, dont add a splinter cell mission system, or it will look like you copied me.

I have all the battlecharactersets for all my playable characters but i do not have their facesets or charactersets.. i have the facesets and charsets of 3 characters...

if anyone wants to help me out than here are the rules

A. Each Character needs about 3 character sets fillled up with emotions over their head... created in characterset as closesy as possible to how the character looks.

B. Each Character Needs about 3-5 Different sets of faces ... sad happy angry.... crying sad .. crying happy...  using the generator you can easily create 3-5 different sets  filled with different faces and emotions..

C. you need to tell me how much you want to help me ... and why
