There will be an RPG Maker 3 here in the US. It's A LOT better than RPG Maker 2. Here are the pics from enterbrain's site (it's in Japanese, but you don't need a translator to look at pictures do you?
)

actually, i dont belive rpgmaker 3d will be illegal, it was never sold in japan becuase it was never ment for profit, it wasnt created by enterbrain to my knowledge. the game is infact legal, if im not mistaken, i have seen the character set layout, it is fairly complicated, and yes, likwid sage is a nice guy, i met him durring my likwid days. so for those of you who want 3drpg editor, you are going to have to wait a little while longer, for he isnt completly finished yet, but he is very close to completion. you could probably find it when it is finished by looking up likwid rpgmakers on google/msn/whatever. it would most likly be under the download section. as for charas supporting it. may the leaders decide that.

I heard from a reliable source that 3d RPG Editor will not support custom character graphics.
