Yup I'd Say charas has change, Thats one reason why I haven't been around Much. I remember when I first came to charas, It was one of the first communitys that I could actually stand because everyone was so nice, and quickly I got to know just about everyone and become friends with them.

Thats how I liked it when you knew everyone at the forums or the majority. and everyone knew who you were (almost like that show Cheers). Thats the change I see In charas more and more people sign up and it's hard to actually get to know some one.

Yea plus things also had to be stricter around here, people arent as laid back as before only because of people wanting to spam and doing things that have to keep everyone always working hard instead of relaxing here.

I practually don't know alot of the people now ... I only know a few and one's I did know don't come around any more, They Vanished like I had for a while.

Also Alex aint around as much either, that was another good thing about charas that had changed, The head guy was around and got to know his members but now he is too busy and can only come around every now and then. That is one thing I miss but He has a life and we can't take that away.

hey, i know you to:D but alex is online alot i think, but he doesn't talk alot anymore also becose there are alot of members, so he's just sitting and keeping an eye on thngs

One thing was being around to know my members when they was less than 30, one thing when they are more than 14.000.
I think there's no human mind that can pretend to "know" more than 14.000 single entities.

Maybe we should open a "secret forum" somwhere, and inform about it only "selected members", LOL!

I know it's impossible to have back the old times with all these ppls around, but i truly hope reading this thread may help to make some of them more like we were in the past.
We never changed, as i said in the news you started this thread with: we are experiencing the passage from a "small mountain village" to a "big metropolis". Let's hope the progress will not kill all of us.

Mmm Guess I just never Catch him on much then.

But Actually That Secret Forum Thing I have Thought Of before ... but I just never did it cuz I wouldn't be able to run it that well due to the fact I already have a site and board to run right now for my band. Though I can always do graphics ^_^
Mabey If I do Get Free Time I Could make the board and give the admin power to some one else as well and they could run it.

But I do know one thing I won't change much either, and If I do I already told my friends to smack me silly till I change back or end up with brain damage.

I second that. Although it depends on how far back you want to go. If it's farther back than me, then no.

I can still remember the pre-RRWP era. I remember when the forgotten made Charas' first article. I also remembered the official opening of the faceset generator.

And how about the first time the sprites contest started? It was the first and the last I have entered. And I made every banner for it.

I guess it's time for me now to pass the bannerflag to someone fresh. I'm taking a break for bannering. Now if only a new contest would start...

But I also remembered what happened after the RRWP era. I know I keep whining about it, but I know that RRWP did open our eyes. Charas was vurnerable. And he knew Charas wouldn't survive if we kept our mentality. Actually, it was the other way around, we did survive with our old mentality, the only thing that drove us apart was our distance between each other.

After a while there was something going on between everybody. Me against the world, Darkfox against KaIrOu... or the other way around... who appeared to be pop. I believe he wasn't hacked though. People who live near him knew he was pop.

But it became worse. And from here I kind of forgot.

On one side I'm pro secret forum. On the other side... it still won't bring back the old feeling if some mid-2004 members are still able to view it.
