DB's RMXP charsets
« on: November 11, 2005, 09:23:14 PM »
Well now that charas has lifted the 100% no tolerance rule against rmxp, I figured I might as well post some of the charsets I have made for it. The only have really old ones right now because I haven't made any new ones since I went back to rm2k3 for a time, and I lost all my semi-new ones when my computer crashed.

Anyway, right now I have 4 charsets, but I can only post 3 because I get an error when I try to upload the other one (the other ones are already uploaded to a differant site).

Heres my first rmxp charset :D, the hair is an edited version of an RO hair set though.

Then of course I needed to make a dragon character. Since my game was going to have larger sprites, its meaduim sized instead of rtp sized. It took me 4 days to make it since I had to do it from scratch in ms paint. It may apear distorted since charas sometimes scales down images.

Yeah, I just don't like the whole RTP style, in order to match the rtp charsets, I had to keep the back leg grey, and I had to follow their design. Both were requests for a game that I think was discontinued, I'm not really sure though. The last was going to be for my game, so I was able to draw it however I wanted. I thought the rtp charsets were too small, so I planned to make my game with large charsets. I had to draw everything from scratch which really sucked, but then a few months later, Kazier released a medium sized sprite template that was the same size as my char, so I was able to pull off sprites a lot faster :), unfortunately all those were lost :(

Yeah, I have dial up, so someone was nice enough to mail me a copy of RO :D. Anyway, i got the hair from a ripped ragnorak charset, I had to resize and edit it a bit though to make it rtp sized. I have no idea what site I got the ripped graphics from though :(

I was never very good at making hair, I spent all my time practicing on how to make dragons instead :p

Nice! I see you are not only amazing with coding, but also with spriting! Heh, those are the two fields I'm not so good with - well, coding I'm ok, but not spriting at all. Great work!
