FF2/4 or FF2j? And paste the IMG code of the picture in your sig instead of attaching it.

Actually, don't do either.
Sounds interesting.

If you're making it FF4, CALL it FF4. It's disgusting how people can still confuse the American names with the original names. They should have released Final Fantasy II and III in the States after Final Fantasy 1 in the first place, and then released Final Fantasy V between IV and VI.
But don't worry, I like the majority of Final Fantasy games, I play them alot, so don't worry if you need some graphical help. I can whip loads of stuff up if needed.

I find it annoying too.

This game sounds... interesting, but since you haven't told us anything about it yet, I can't say more than that.

Sorry I haven't responded to this in a while i'ne just had stuff to do. Any way.

Ok it takes place after Zeromus. Cecil and rosa get married and all that worthless stuff and have a son. Tho no name has been chosen. Any way. When the kid grows up he sees his dad in a dream and he is taken hostage by mental control. Go figure. Cecil starts to destroy the things he once protected. After seeing cecil kill his mom the unnamed kid goes to a wise mage to find the source of what is causing this. I'll stop there what do you think?

I suggest giving the kid a name.
If you want, you can give the kid a name from any of the other FF games too, some of the names eventually come back.

I think that by names from other FF's, he meant minor characters. Don't use the playable characters' names. Use obscure names, because 1. It sounds cooler, and 2. People won't recognize them.

Few people are going to play your game if the plot seemed like "Their son, Barret, goes to a wise mage to get help."

If they see a name of another major FF character, they really won't like it.

Why dont you just let the player enter the kids name?
it's simple to do.

Alright a minor character. How do you do that then. Let people enter their own name?
