Japan took no responsibility for the atrocities during WW2, and to this day refuses to apologize for it's barbarity and depature from the Civilized world during the War. To this day, Japanese school children, among the most educated on the planet, are kept ignorant of the atrocities that they're grandparents commited. The fact that this was allowed to happen was that the old Elite that commited these atrocites were allowed to remain after the war to rebuild their shattered country - unlike in Germany, where the 'De-Nazification' process by the victorious powers ensured that every trace of the regime was held accountable for it's actions.

What's the one word that Japanese people find easy to say? Kamikazee! What's the hardest word?

Sorry.

Despite the fact that she's no longer here, I would like to mention that this is the most ridiculous post in this whole topic. Japan? Not responisible for the atrocities in WWII? So, I guess toasting Jews was the only atrocity, but the murdering of Chinese, and other races in Asia was not. So much for your great knowledge. Nice to know your banned for your "explicit" sig pic.

Hahaha, that never even occurred to me. I always forget when Veteran's Day is. I should have been able to recognize that...

I'd like to remember that there are other huge genocides not recognized or punished: the Armenian genocide by the Otoman Empire at 1915 when more than 500.000 armenians were brutally killed, and the two nuclear bombs thrown in Japan, when the war was obviously going to be won, and they used Hiroshima and Nagasaki as test subjects. I don't think that there are many countries who can punish others for commiting genocides (for example, it happened in my country too, although we did not choose it, during the military dictatures, when more than 30000 people were reported as "dissapeared")

I'd like to remember that pointing fingers is wrong. What a country did then is not blamable on who they are now.

From what I've been informed, Japan were gonna bomb America 3 days after America bombed Japan. But then America blew them up. And then the Japanese didn't blow them up, instead they surrendored.

Well, what I mean through what I posted is not to pint figers all I say is that there are really no countries who can punish others for commiting genocides, because of that they had theirs too.

I'd like to take this moment to remember those who died in 9/11 and the family they left behind. Although it's vet's day here. And I'm a bit late... Again...
