I love Rememberance Day. It is by far the second most Canadian of holidays, right after Canadian Thanksgiving.

Remembrance Day is for remembering everyone who died in the name of peace. Not just WWI and II, although those are the biggest events attributed to it.

yeah, more people died in WW1 due to the lack of technology...Tanks were easy to beat (climb in and take the guys out), the trenches were easy targets *after getting through no-mans land though* , and disease could easily take a soldier before war did.

anyways, yep, today is for remember soldiers who died in ALL wars (even the civil ones).

Your probably remembering wrong, but the civil war did have more American casualties, mainly because everyone was American. Maybe thats what you were thinking.
