IDEA! What if we made a house or town with all the charas members in it, each member can use the graphics they want and have their characters doing and saying what they want. Then have a few chores that neededs to be done such as get a christmas tree, and other small stuff like that. Its not really a mini-game, its just a community area where you can talk to charas members :)

Sure, why not. It'd be easy enough to code.

...Ehh, on second thought (and try), DDR is way too hard. My idea for the code didn't work, so just scratch it off. I will do other mini games though. I'll try to think of more ideas...

Nah, it's okay. I understand how difficult it would be to do that sort of thing.

DDR would work, did you try using the 1 2 3 4 keys instead?

Can I use a .WAV file? For the beginning before the cart goes, I want to have a "Ready? Go!" type of thing.

If the minigame thing works out, I'm all for making a full Charas RPG.

MP3s are actually more compressed than WAVs, so if you can get your hands on a WAV to MP3 converter, it might be a good idea to use that.

Hey guys, I'm working on a new mini game now.  The player controls a sled that is going down hill and they have to collect presents to get points and dodge obstacles like trees and charas member doing random stuff.  I'm even coding in a jump button and ramps to go over big gaps.

I do need some graphics for this, however, so if any of you graphical helpers can make a front faceing view of a snowy ramp (about 48 pixels wide) and an assortment of 16 by 16 pixel wraped presents, that would be great.

If nobody is doing it, can I go for the simple "Catch the Falling Presents While Avoiding The Ones With Bombs In Them" thing? But customise it a lot and make it Charas related?

I have some ideas coming.

EDIT: Anyone remember Rootbeer/Bartender? That old game where you have to throw the beers to the guys who want them without breaking too many? How about a Charas version, where the player has to throw the appropriate presents to the members who demand their Chrimbo gifts? :D

I have my midi done for my mingame! If anyone else is desperate for a midi and they like it then feel free to use it as well. What do you think?

EDIT: Btw, I like your ideas drag! I think we are in need of more minigames anyway.

Mini Game Idea:
Oh noes, Raffles has unleashed the charas eaters into Santa's workshop! Luckily Warxe the Scientist somehow made it so they can be remote controlled. (How you ask? I have no idea.) Control each charas action figure and find your way around and then out of the workshop without being eaten by the Charas Eaters! When Warxe the Scientist made them controllable, they were scattered about the workshop, so they're all in different places and some areas might be harder than others.

So yeah, I'd make this if it's a good idea.

I like this idea for a minigame. I WOULD agree to help with it, but it's easy enough to code that anyone can do it, and I'm a bit too busy right now. Here's the plan: Santa had a big meal before his Christmas run. A meal TOO big. So now he has to worry about a new problem, one a bit more time sensitive than delivering presents. The elves estimate that he has about two minutes between each neighborhood to deliver presents if he wants to get home in time for the... Big Delivery... so to speak. Help him dodge weather clouds, satellites, and the evil Laxative Pills of Doom, all of which will either reduce his time, slow him down, or stop him for a minute. Just a basic side scrolling game of dodge the bad stuff. And a timer and a gauge to show how close he is to his destination and his time limit. Collecting antacid will give you a small amount of time. If you want, you could try and put in a "use one present per level to clear the screen in exchange for delayed dodging movement" thing. I thought it would even help explain a time restraint. What do you think? If you don't like it, you can change the story, but I thought a little comedy would help mix things up. Credit me for the idea if you guys want to use it. And like I said, I'm too preoccupied with other projects right now to help. Sorry.

I love that idea. And, you could make the toys like plush dolls of us, one of you, me, etc etc.

Edit: CK, I love that midi! Not gonna use it, but it's pretty cool sounding, suits a X-mas theme well.

Ace: That's a great idea.

Archem: Nice idea, but it's basically the same as CK's minigame, except sideways rather than vertical. I suppose we need some ideas which are different to each other.

By the way, can anyone recommend a simple way to do a sliding effect, as if the character is trying to stop on ice?

NEW IDEAS:

 - A Whack-a-Mole type game with elves/gnomes/whatever Santa has in a pond and you have to hit them back down to stop them stealing your presents.

 - A dodgeball-like Snowball Fight game.

Anyway, I'm back to working on Charas Present Panic. :D

No, there is NO simple way. You have to make seperate events on EVERY tile of ice. I tried putting something like that in my game and it's impossbile to do without major bugs occuring, so I would consider a completly different idea.
