Yeah... well my friend Adam told me that next time I make a solo make it as fast and as random as I could. This is what I came up with. I know it's not really good, but I still want some feedback.

Note, I'm using a DigiTech Death Metal pedal on this one.

fast solos are good. Random....well to define random, you can't just do ANY NOTE. You have a certain chord rule you follow. YOu move within that chord.
Thats the real skill. so work on scales first. Speed later.

Meh. It's better than I can play, if that's any consolation. Other than that, it's either too random, or just repeating the same old thing for way too long. But, like almost anything, it sounds like potential, misplaced.

Technique wasnt the point of this, but I do agree. I'd rather hear a good slow solo than a bad fast one. I think Angelo is a good example (or, bad example) of this. He is arguably the fastest guitar player but can't write worth a sh!t.
Anyways, Adam says I have the speed, I just have to control it. Which I'm learning to do.

Slayer sucks, ergo, random sucks.
Carmen is right, you have to actually know how to play something before you can play it fast.
Technique should always be the point -_-

You have the speed, you need the skill, though I'm no guitar expert, I agree with Carmen.

To put it plainly, without some kind of... what's the word... music? or pattern? It sucks. If you worked on a guitar solo, like planned out each note, and palyed it slowly to see how it sounded, then sped it up, it'd prolly sound a lot better than jammin' out random notes. I was listening to it, waiting for a string or my ears to break first.

I like the DigiTech Death Metal.
Really, with a few lessons anyone could come up with that solo.
You need to practice more than two techniques.

Its good if you like a lot of distortion. I havent really found a good setting that sounds good both on bass and treble strings. I really like the Metal Master. But anyways.
I suppose Ill write something else... more focused on style than speed.

i have a digitec Death Metal ^_^
It's ok, but as everyone else has said to use more technique rather than speed, but then my comment isn't worth much cos it's jsut stating what everyoe ale has already said... *dies*

Sounds like something Kerry King would play... He can't solo... at all...
Jeff Hanneman rules in Slayer though
