Again, we're still talking it over.

Hmm, I'll only enter if its just the screenshots. A lot of my mapping has to do with the effects I add (shadows, fog, light, etc.), plus I use a lot of events in mapping (such as the splash effects for a waterfall), and showing the entire thing won't show them.

Miescools maps are realy good! Oh and can i use rpgxp instead of rm2k3 cause I cant seem to get the maps i make for rm2k3 to work...

Well rmxp has 2x the resolution, it doesn't have any restrictions size or color wise. I know back when I was using rmxp I made some very sweet maps, the thing is I don't know if it'd be fair if you could use them. Personally I wouldn't mind, but its up to Meiscool and Robotam, or whoever the judges are.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

If you guys want, I can sanction this as an Official Charas Contest and have the moderator staff judge entries and hand out little lame medals and stuff to the winners.

Please, if not in this one, then in the next? one, please set a specific chipset. I've already explained why this would be a good idea in the last map contest, so keep it in mind.

I've already set seperations between Rudra, Mac and Blue, and etc. I will not do what you request though Archem, because certin people are only good with certin chips, and it would be unfair to set a Mac and Blue chip for everyone when (Example Ace) uses Rudra mostly, but would be weakened because of this. Plus, it will get really boring.

Now, if we stick with the toury idea, if two people vs one another, then we might choose a chip that they will be forced to both used so it's based all on skill, but other then that, your idea is shot to me.

Oh well. At least I tried. I only suggested it because I can never seem to find a chipset that works very well, often having huge (or at least oddly noticable) problems. Mebe you could post a few good sets or some sites where good ones can be found. Then I might be able to find something worthwhile. I hate the results from google, they usually turn up the imperfect ones I mentioned.

You're our man.. As in "sure, that'd be great".
Then I also think we should keep the tournament idea, it'll give more action to the contest.

This is how I was thinking. If we're going to have a tournament with one-one battles I think we should skip the idea of having any categories at all. A tournament is about battles and there can only be one winner and he can only win with one map.
And I also think we should keep the 20x15 size rule. It somehow makes things easier, having a tournament and with all different sizes.. it's just confusing and people will just judge the map by how big it is.
What is concerning me the most is if we're going to have a vote system where majority rules. Or if we're going to have one or more judges to judge a winner in every battle. This time I don't want just any judges out of the blue, I want heavy aess judges. In other words someone with great mapping skills.
