Game in progress
« on: April 17, 2006, 08:32:55 PM »
Story:
---------unknown time = beyond the sky-------------
The 13 star signs were assigned to the planet Zanereth's humans....
to guard and provide them with unique personalities....
they were
Aquarius,Aries,Cancer,Capricorn,Gemini,Leo,Libra,Pisces,Sagitarius,Scorpio,Taurus,Virgo
an another named Ophiuchus, the 13th and youngest one

As life prospered each sign decided on its speciallity in personallities
Opiuchius, the young one, who jealously wanted a higher position due to his
enourmous power put an
evil spawn upon a human.... dubbed as "the first"
the spawn quickly spread throughout the world....
making each human an evil side in their heart....

when the other 12 signs saw what Ophiuchus had done
they sealed him off with thier combined powers
but the knew that somday the seal would break...

they could not destroy Ophiuchus because his powers were far greater than there own,
but all they needed to destroy him....
was a human with an evil side to there heart.... that could compleatly control the
dark side of his heart!

------------125 ZD = planet earth----------
the hero awakens....

Sky rocketing with 'Cliche-ness' but I kind of like it. The CBS doesn't look too bad, either.

I'm feeling a mixed vibe of Legend of Gaia and... D*mn what was that other celestial type game?...

By the evil being locked away, which at some point in the game it will be released, right? Very Cliche. Also the 'great protectors of the world and there being a certain number of them? Cliche as well. Although, the fact that they're the Celestial signs kind of cancels out that... 'The Hero awakes...' I won't even tell you how that's cliche.

Just the whole 'The one who wasn't given his chance had a hissy-fit and created masses of evil' is just really done so many times by so many oter people...

Also, kind of tearing off a part of Kingdom Hearts there with the 'darkness in people's hearts' thing.

Now, cliche is not a horrible thing. It's d*mn-near imposible to avoid. But you asked how it was cliche and I told you, so don't be coming back with an ***hole responce... Saying I'm wrong or what ever.

Have any non-combat screenshots?

Anyone remember that phrase?

Being cliche means its something that isn't original. While the story may be original, the actual concept isn't. Personally, I especially don't like the particular cliche of a bad guy being sealed away. The moment you mention it, you're giving away an event a lot later in the game. Anyone can figure out that if you say "a great evil has been sealed away" that you're going to go out and try to stop this evil from being released, of course, it'll get released and you'll have to fight it.

Other than that though, your game sounds pretty good :)

Wasn't that one: If there is evil in this world, then it lies within the hearts of man?

I just bought it for the GBA, so I'm pretty sure that's what it was. Not like it matters though.
