Originally posted by DraceReading tabs is the easiest thing out there. I'll get an example.E|---------------|---------------|---------------|---------------||B|------3-----3--|------3-----3--|------3-----3--|------3-----3--||G|----0-----0----|----0-----0----|----0-----0----|----0-----0----||D|--5-----5------|--4-----4------|--2-----2------|--0-----0------||A|---------------|---------------|---------------|---------------||E|---------------|---------------|---------------|---------------||Well, you see those lines. Those are the snares. The upper E is the high E (the one all the way down on your guitar) and the lower E is the low E (the big fat one at the top). Now, if you know the song (this is from Wake Me Up When September Ends) then you should listen to how each note is played. Then you play the notes given in the tab in the order they appear.E|----------------|B|------3-----3--|G|----0-----0----|D|--5-----5------|A|----------------|E|----------------|Meaning for this part, you need to play 5-0-3 5-0-3 on the correct snare. These numbers stand for the frets. You can see "D|--5--". Meaning you should hit the snare when your finger is in the fifth fret of the D snare (3th from up). Then just play the order the numbers come. 0 = no fret, loose snare.Any questions?
