Ahh yes that's much better thank you. As for the waterfall part are you using a variables system to make a range or just throwing switches and slowly fading it in chip by chip?

And AFL the map looks good, but it doesn't stand out much, not sure why just can't put my finger on it. Maybe adding another elavation insted of just 1 flat spot. (That's what I do when my maps seem bland, throw an extra level on top of it haha.)

Yea, i make a range but with switches, but ... i think with variables are more easier... hm... O:

@AFL looks good but its a little empty for me.  Mabye you can add some grass or something like that.

its been a while since I pizzosted a screen.

while waiting for a ten slot equip script to be made compatible with my system...
Ive been making my town map into the ultimizzle.

F'rizzle.

I had a script made for sprite colour and tint screening for lighting effects.
Ive also Been making a tonne of interior maps, and eliminating the HUGE AMOUNTS of lag via scripts, clever eventing and breaking up maps. Im proud of the map transitons. Flawless scrolling. Ive got 4 maps and in game you would never know that it wasnt one huge one.

But I cant show you the coolest stuff. So heres a screenie of my light effects in use with my Custom RTP edits and my very own gemini sprites.

Im debating an overlay...Like...round line of vison style. The lighting wouldnt be affected by it either...But Im afraid it may be too much nnight time.

Anyways...

EDIT: Still trying to find a way to fix the light overlapping the posts. The ground light has no scripting, but the lamp does.

Perhaps if I jack up the priority on the posts...but that could mess me up in otherplaces.

tips?

EDIT EDIT: Im probably just going to make new lighting sprites for my lampposts.

Cool looking edit gemini, but you should make use of the secondary transparent color of pictures in XP for that light. It's very clean to see where the pxiels end/begin.

Dragoon: Nice work. Might get boring if you can only have one character at a time, but looks cool thus far. Ygadra Union (sp?) sprites are cool, but I havn't found anymore than the ones you've shone, the Valk and the Bandit. If you know of more, please let me know :)

Just Communication is a cool song too, though other Gundam Wing stuff is better.

Not much into making rpg maker stuff now. Kinda screwing around with other things, random art and the such.

Hence:

Fire Emblem Edits and Customs. Male and Female fencers. I'll probally make a little sheet for the both of them, maybe 9 or so frames.
Any good?

Nice looking.

And as for battles, they wont be cause via enemies on the map or random battles.

All battles take place in the story. It forces the character to spend their Life Points wisely.

Heres a snippet of the lighting improvments, with MIC's input.

Also, A Day-time shot to illustrate the contrast. And some close ups of the changes. And the Sign sez "Bitches"

For the day shot, wouldn't the grass next to the building be darker because the building casts a shadow? I can understand it being light in the night one, like there are windows on the side that cast out light maybe. I think it's kinda odd for the day one though.

the other side has the darker grass.the daytime saturation is actually weaker than shown. Those are pure colour without overlay. But I think youre right, and I shall eliminate the grass lightening near the wall.

The light looks much better now.

Also, I really don't think people will care all that much about the lightness of grass in places.

Remember, if you make some shadows, you'll probally have to end up making shadows everywhere.

Might I suggest adding some more detail.  unless you're trying to make  it seem like they are moving out/in.  Maybe some desks, drawers, etc.

Yeah, you should look at some of Linkforce's screens. He uses that same chipset you use (or one very similar) very well, and you could learn a lot from looking at his interiors.
