I dunno, that second screen looks pretty okay. I'd work on other areas of the game before trying to perfect individual maps like that.

Agreed.

Yes, I'm sure there are a grip of things that can be done to 'improve' it, but honestly there are probably much better things to do RPG maker wise than getting a major in map perfection. If you're new to making maps look 'leet', you'll probably just burn out on the whole trying to do so.

Going back to rpg noob...there are a lot of things I can think of in your map that should be changed, such as making a bigger screenshot so pepole can see your "impressive map", also do you have diffrent shadess of snow, it just looks so plain and boring I swear to god, and we dont know what the rest of the mountains look like but I suggest you make them bigger for a better screen,

ONto the miescool part. Everysingle person sayed this but just ignore meis he's a critic and there is a lot of them in the world. You got to take what they say or else you wont get anyway in life ya know. you sounded a lot like me to put it slighly. Oh and change those char sets there so bloody skechty to my eyes. Good luck with your game xd.

The set up is nice, but the character (girl)'s hair doesn't match the face graphic.  And it looks like she's crying. O_o.

Looks good though.

edit: robutt looks like a bow-legged motherfucker in that first screen but hes bobbin down in one frame of his idle animation, in which i took the screenshot
the second screenshot shows a character named Dandé de Lyon. A rival guy.

I really like the metallic lines in the backgrounds, they give it a really unique look.

@macubex faceset needs fixing, characters look like pigs with those noses (AKA nose tip too low problem)

P.S.:Ignore the fact that the top is cut off, I already fixed that

Most of the walls are to straight and you should add more stuff (Rocks, animals, plant etc) otherwise it looks good.

I love the style of your graphics, Mr. They all blend together so well.
It's like an orgasm for the eyes . . .

An eyegasm . . .

Next time, try taking it in game, and if its a map that large, take multiple ones to get the whole thing. As we can't see what those events are.  But, like Red Fox said earlier, the walls shouldn't be so straight and wildlife is good. :)

Well, these are just some practice and I'm hoping they're better than my last ones, but here's a couple of screenshots of my newest map. This time I used RPG Maker 2003 instead of RPG Maker 2000. I find the graphics are a little better.

There is one thing that bugs me - the edge of the towards the center near the waterfall. It looks odd.
Other than that, nice use of RTP! There's not much somebody can do with it, but I have a feeling you will become an excellent mapper :)
