It's an independent film about a video game, I know a majority of you people like to say the least.

Who cares about some of the things you people are bitching about.

First off, Link does not talk in the game, chances are he wont in the movie (Maybe a few grunts.), so basically the only thing that he could possibly do wrong, is the fact the guy doesn't look like him. Big whoop. In the up coming Metal Gear movie, There is no way that they could have snake anyone else besides David Hayter, and he doesn't look a thing like Snake, and doubt your going to whine as much about that.

Seccond off, This is made by people that loved the game, for people that loved the game, try to enjoy it for what it is at it's core, A Zelda movie.

Finally, who cares about the special effects, it's an independent film that has no iffiliation what-soever with Nintendo. You really think they are going to have much money to spend making this as beautiful as Twilight princess?

Quantity over Quality... Oh, and it ins't directly based off Ocerina of time, there are alot of differences, such as Link always being an adult, and more action scenes.

Come on, look at the bright side of things.. This could always turn out to be another Final Fantasy Spirits within, but it's still Zelda.

I'm sure many people don't want a video game-based movie to present a silly show of their favorite (for some) character(s), because that's what I'm seeing in the trailer right now, at least for the battle scenes that I saw (isn't Link supposed to be a good fighter?). And if I recall, I was told that FF: Spirits Within was not a very good movie for many people. If the movie turns out to show a side of Zelda that's not true (aka. silly and/or frightening), it doesn't matter if it is Zelda.

Please read the word in bold text, then look over our posts. Are we truly bitching? No, we are merely stating our opinions. We are not complaining about anything. We cannot be dissatisfied because the movie isn't complete yet. We can think that the movie looked awful and that the people who made it could try to increase the quality in time for its release.

Were you part of the team who created this movie? If so, your efforts are remarkable (I doubt I would have the patience to make a movie), but you could try to spice it up a notch, make it into a production that would really pull the audience's jaws open and let them crash to the floor. If you are not, please, let us be. We have a right to harbor our own opinions, and we can't be denied that right.

Now to my opinion...

Although it IS better than the Super Mario Bros. movie (of which I witnessed only a tiny part, for fear of nightmares), it could be better. The wig the Link character is wearing should be less yellow... and he should look more like Link ( I saw a cosplayer that actually looked like him, but it was a girl.). But I think everything that I was about to say was already said by various members.

1.)  Link does speak.  Just in recent games, it isn't as...."obvious" I guess you can say.

2.)  The movie looks crappy.  It's an embarassment to the great Zelda.  It's like that live action DBZ movie made only in Japan.  Check it on google for more information.

3.)  I agree with this, no arguements here.

4.)  Wrong phrase.  Quantity is referring to more than one thing.  Your basically saying a lot of crappy Zelda movies is better than one good one.

5.)  If it does turn into a Final Fantasy Spirits Within, many people will loose faith in Zelda, as many did for Final Fantasy with that movie.

Haha, if Nintendo finds out about this, and are like Square Enix, they'll wait till this is about a quarter or possibly even half way done with it, and then they'll tell these people to stop what they're doing for copying what is actually theirs. (Refer to cool 3D Chrono Trigger remake projects that have been cancelled by SE. The only difference is that those actually looked promising.)

If they end up getting that far into it, all they will do is change the names and a few plot twists and bingo, you've got something completly different.

They'll name Link: Le-ink. Zelda: Zyelda, Ganondorf: Ganondork. Ect.
