There were some random parts, like it never explained what was going on in the intro, but the movie was already two and a half hours long, if they did explain all that, it'd be even longer. And I do think that this whole movie was basically setting up the stage for the next one, but I think they did a good job doing so.

And since the next movie comes out in less than a year, we won't have to wait THAT long for a conclusion.

I heard about Eragon 2 years ago or so, they were suposed to put a trailer on X-3, but that got pushed back to superman, and that got pushed off to something else.
