You honestly think saying that Sai "picks favorites" is not a flame, albeit a low-level one?

The point of the thread is, GET ALONG. That means at least respect your neighbors, which generally means giving constructive criticism rather than insults.

Just to follow up on this, I asked Sai for the Games position awhile back. When I did, we weren't even that good of friends, we really just... knew eachother, that's about it. When Kijuki became admin, he asked me if I still wanted the Games position and I accepted. So, enough with the "If you're Sai's pal he'll mod you lolz" because if you date it all back to me asking, the only reason I got the position is because I asked.

Its not. Its flame-baiting. Meaning he doesn't do anything wrong, but invites others to.

To be rash, yes, it's a flame. To be realistic, no, it's not.

It would be like me saying you don't do your job well, that fact being true and well known to everyone, and you accepting that statement as a flame. Furthermore, even if it isn't true, in the context it's place in, it still shouldn't be a flame.

BTW, the above is just an example. You do a dandy job.

You're all wonderful existences. :) Without everyone here, the world wouldn't spin the same way. The air would not be right. The entire fabric of the world would be disrupted. You are all most important things in the world! :)

In case you don't know(you probably do); Sai'Kar was being unfair and had an argument with some members, then, to hide the fact he was wrong, he threatened to ban people. Killin' the body'll never make the spirit weakened! I say we go on forum strike!

*pulls out picket sign*

STRIKE! STRIKE! STRIKE!

Does a strike mean that the people causing trouble will find other things to do?

Grade school can't start fast enough...

*blinks* How was he being unfair? He warned people about arguing, and about spamming. Like Meiscool, he spammed up Almei's dvd thread with "OMGZORS kij is almost banned!!" and I deleted all the posts that came from it. Then he posted it AGAIN. He was warned before about his spamming  before, yet he thinks being mrmister is fun.
As for Kijuki, he was also warned but he challeneged anyone who came in his face. In all honesty, he coulda instantly banned them. That would've been unfair, but he didn't. There really was no wrong neither, Rev got an almost ban because he refused to listen. Check Zerlina's thread why don't cha.

Not only that, but it's only THREE people. Stop acting like it's the end of the world people. Also, Meiscool stop bringing my name up in things. I've already explained things in Mrmister's "I'm leaving cause I'm a whiner" thread, so don't even try it. Sometimes you guys are a bit ungrateful, Sai'Kar is really the only admin we have left. At least he never really gave up on us like the other ones. Ya'll are fustrating. ><*

You'd be surprised how much whining and bitching to him it took. I've been whining to become a mod forever. And then, when he DID make me a mod, he gave me a dead forum and told me I would get AoA in a month if I did well with what I was given(I even had to justify getting the programming forum for him to even consider me). I tried, and a month later, he told me, "Eh, I don't really feel like making a new AoA mod right now."

And so I left the mod team. Then, I became mod again when I took over the community contest. Now note - I was offered this position IF I got a general approval from the other team members, and everyone who bothered to check the CC forum said, "I don't see why not, sure." No one objected at all and I took the position and tried to create a self sufficient system in preperation of school.

Playing favorites my ***. It is freaking harder than hell specifically because we're his friends.

The fact of the matter is, Sai has been a generally fair admin. He's made a crapload of mistakes and I will happily point them out: Raffles, not being strict enough, his huge abscence...

But he's also an accesable admin that doesn't spend all his time spamming the forums with posts just to take up space. He's made some good decisions too - revoking the newbie request rule, taking on Carmen/Ghostclown and his/her/it's rigid steel rules that made no sense, and generally being around more than Alex.

If there had been a valid complaint and KM had brought it up, Sai probably would've listened - contrary to my urges to ban him for being straight up retarded, Sai had a good respect for KM before he started doing things all wrong.  Had he come up with a complaint like "I don't really like this rule and think we should change it to something like this," I would assume Sai would take it into consideration and ask the opinion of other moderators.

But instead, KM quit his modding position, and then, when the novelty of that wore off, he decided to start a tirade of rebellion against the moderators, for no clear reason. At this point the only thing I can see anyone saying that is wrong is Sai. Aparently KM is on a personal vendetta against him, unless he has some clear points and presents them in a respectful PM to Sai and/or the mods.

It's the ineffective way to get things done, and what's worse, he's using trolling tactics (which this forum is so awesome at handling) to make Sai fight with him, which leads to more fighting between them. In the end both sides look dirty, but because one side has the power to do something about it, they get labeled as a tyrant and the public agrees.

I try to limit my posts in arguments like this(When was the last time I posted in a Raffles-esque thread?), and thusly this will probably be my last post on the matter, although if you want anything more out of me I'll probably be active at zmen8@msn.com on MSN or osmose1000 on AIM. And if you're worried about me hiding my thoughts, I encourage you to share logs with your friends. :P

Bleh, charas is like a soap-opera. There's so many angles to it, if you miss one you have to read a bijillion posts just to catch up and know what's going on.

I'm not in this conversation at all. I'm pretty much a newbie to this forum so...what I say doesn't matter that much.

I stuck with this forum because I loved how loose it was. Strict=Bad in my book. I think a topic should only stay on-topic if the creator himself asks, not the mod. I wish the mod would only step in if there is a direct fight between two people and one of the two people is not a mod.

I wish derogatory comments would only be considered "wrong" if someone directly states it hurts them. I haven't been offended by anything on this forum.

Those are just my thoughts. Respond to them if you want. I really wish we could get along like Warxe said. Please don't make me doubt this place.

Uhhhhmmmmm... huh? You see, this is the problem. This place is like a soap opera. Oh yeah thats been said... O_o Well I guess I got nothing new to add XD.

But yeah. Charas can be one of the strangest forums I regularly visit O_o, nothing about it seems normal. And trust me, I get around XD. I think that is the main problem.

Edit: I think is is impacient. Dunno for sure without looking it up though. O_o

As usual, Mr. Moose has summed up the situation eloquently and in a decent amount of reading. Thumbs up, man.

Now, the point of this thread is to tell you guys (everyone, including the mod team) to chill out a bit. Like Dren said, this place is like a soap opera - I don't like that, and I don't think anyone else does too (although I could be mistaken). Like we said to Raffles, Charas is a place to hang out, chat about RPG Maker (and naturally, the stuff that nerds like us like to chat about) and have a good time - not a place where people get pissed at everyone else and giant flame wars erupt. I'm not saying that we should cease to have opinions or anything - asking such a thing would be inhuman, but certain people (you know who you are) should just relax a bit. Even though it's a forum, where you chat with nameless avatars from around the world, your words do make a difference - would any of you honestly go up to some random stranger, say "your mom sux lolz", and then blow it off because "they're just words"?

Well, I'm gonna try ending with something that isn't cliche to the max, so how about... Oh, I know. GET ALONG. :p
But seriously, let's just relax. Go ahead and have disagreements, but there's no need to replicate what we've been doing in the past few weeks. It's a waste of energy, and it puts the house that Alex built to shame. Now THAT is all.
