Kuja had man-jublies AND a mangina. Uncommon combination.

Sorry, but I disagree. Seven was ok. Eight was a little less then ok. Never played 9. I hated 10, I got to the quiet lands and quit cause the game was the most boring thing I have ever played. 11 doesn't count. FFX-2 I've never played, and it looks terrible. Suffice to say, that Square is not anywhere near my favourite in video game making. They hit their peak on the Super Nes, and have been in a steady decline since. But, that is my opinion.

The only good thing about X was the battle system and the grid map. But I didn't really like the characters, and the story got really dull really fast.

I played Blitzball more then I played the game, cause it was more fun.

FFVII is the last 'great' final fantasy game, in my opinion. My favourite is either FFIV (or originally II) or FFVI (or originally III). They didn't have the technology to waste time on the graphics, so they didn't. I also liked the Tactics games, and the other gameboy releases.

You can't say something sucks if you haven't played it dude. FF9 was one of the best square games ever, the story was awsome and you had to love the characters. It was pretty hard to get bored in a good ol fashion'd story meets modern technology story. FFX-2 was good too, but half way you'd get bored because of the constant missions and inconsistent story line. Although, I did like the game but the long dress sphere changes killed me.. even when they were shortened.

Also, ff7 can't be ok and be the last greatest game eva :P FF8 had a good story line, and the graphics were good too. Sure not all the characters (selphie for example) you'll like, but there is something in there to like. FFT was decent, but I hated the fact that you couldn't get to everything unless it's on a certain day. Example, the stupid zodiac stones. Hated that part, and the limited amount of characters you could hold annoyed me because you'd actually have to let go a good member. The job missions was cool tho, and I wasn't really into the battle system. It wasn't as interactive as I would have liked it.

FF2/4 was one of the best, I agree. Cecil was an extremely good lead character, he went through a challenge and came out a man. He was awsome, so was the game in general <.< Kain was cool too, ^_^ His jump skill saved my arse from time to time <.<. FF3/6 was one of my favs, I love Celes and Edgar. Terra was a bad character personality wise, she became emoish while protecting some kids. Not a good combo. Celes attempted to kill herself too, but she did it outta love and lonelyiness <.<;;

FF5 is pretty good too, although lvl'in up your job class is a pain in the *** because it takes forever and loads of battles. I don't like battles unless the battle system is interesting (baten kratos for example), or interactive (any tales game) in some way. But the story is decent, characters are ok. Meh.

FF7 was pretty good, I'll admit. Certain parts of the game were just gripping and it had a lot of minigames. I never liked Sephiroth though. He was kind of cool because he was insane, but everyone just liked him because of the huge sword. Meh, Sephi was like Kefka in the "insane guy wants to destroy world for questionable reasons" plot, but Kefka had way WAY better one-liners.

FF8 lost me near the beginning when everyone passes out on the train and your party becomes different guys. I never was hooked much anwyay and that point made me just put it down.

FF9 I played the hell out of. The graphics were really whack and some of the cast very boring, but it was an entertaining game and had enough variety to get me to play it more than once, which I rarely do.

I originally didn't play FFX for a long time because I heard you couldn't fly the airship. In retrospect this sounds ridiculous but it came out at a time in my life when I was consdering designing aircraft as a living. Plus searching the world for different things in the airship was a big theme in all the other FF games.

I eventually got over myself and played it, and found it quite enjoyable.

FFX-2 I tried to play. I really did. I actually got past the grrrl power scenes and made it pretty far in the game, but the story got very odd and the gameplay a bit too repetative. It seemed like they just took all the best parts from FFX and recycled them, but poorly. I eventually gave up.

FFXI I spent a good two and a half years playing online and actually quit tonight. It's a decent game and has a lot of fun fights, but I strongly advice against anyone playing it. It just takes up too much time.

FFXII I'm playing right now and rather like where it's going. My only complaint is that ALL of the characters have the same options for advancement. It's hard to make someone a dedicated healer because you can't really focus very well on giving them more MP and more healing power and stuff. It's basically a bit too much flexibility and all my characters are becoming clones of eachother with only very minor differences.

Im torn....

ff6 pwnd. it pwn hard.
ff7 pwnd.
ff8 was pretty good.

Never played 9 that much.

10 was crap.
10-2 pwnd 10 for gameplay in the battle system.....but it got ferociously ravaged for story.

I stopped playing when FF tunred Net.

I think they are trying to hard to make everything more advanced.

I think if they used an engine like FF7 or Six had....even 8....(But the draw thing was lame)......and put as much effort into the graphics as todays installments do, the franchise wouldnt be as ......   whats the word......

oversaturated?

No......

Happy mealed?

No.....

Played out?

no....

It would have the suck knob cranked way down, anyhow.

9 = <3

FF7 had some fun parts and good music.. I didn't like how far they were straying from the old FF's at the time, but I accept the change now. I really like FF8, because the characters were likable and realistic. Except Squall. FF12 shows a lot of change in the series too.. Hm. Shady Ultima, you are still wrong. About everything. You can make long posts that I won't read, but you'll still be wrong.

FF12 is really awesome because it's connected with ALL of my favorite Square games.

That's why I mention that I hadn't played them. I didn't like 8, mostly cause the characters bored me. I didn't get very far though, so that could be why as well.

I may rent FFXII to try it, but I don't expect it to be very good.

My opinion is that FF was better before 7, and seven was when they started to go downhill.

I liked one, aside from a few things. I liked 2's lvling. I have yet to play 3. FF4 is one of my faves. Also have never played 5, and 6 is a great game.

Short enough for you MR MR?

The music on the load screen is the opening to FF4! Orchistrated and everything! It's awesome.

Mid, FF3 in english is 6 in Japan. It was the third one released here so became 3, but lots of people call it 6 because that's the true number in the series.
