Kingdom Hearts: Soulless Rebellion (INN)
« on: December 01, 2006, 12:24:14 AM »
Introduction/Storyline:

(I'm going to have to assume that KH2 has not happened, and will not happen. Deal with it. ^_^)

A few years have now passed since the sealing of the gate known as Kingdom Hearts. The worlds have once again reformed, their citizens have returned to their rightful places in society... while those have returned, so too have the protective barriers that separate one realm from the next, making travel for ordinary vessels literally impossible. Gummi ships that were once the main means of travel were now seen as pieces of brightly colored junk, to put it lightly. The vast majority of the manufacturers have found new lines of work, focusing on exploring the skies with technology, should the technology of the respective world allow such a thing to come into being. Even the veterans of space have found that the place they once called their second home has been all but shut off from them, leaving them once more tied to terra firma by means of the totalitarian rule of gravity.

Celebrations still run rampant as families rejoice once again at the reuniting of loved ones lost during what is now referred to as the Heartless Infestation, even though their former savior has all but faded from the realms of common knowledge. Sora, who had sealed the door to Kingdom Hearts, was now gone... though many a citizen acknowledged this for a moment, they ceased to care soon after. Though he was the 'Legendary Keyblader', said weapon had no true meaning anymore. There were no Keyholes that needed to be sealed, for there were no more Heartless to use them as portals into new realms... and, without the Heartless to fight, the Keyblade that was once deemed as a figurative weapon of omnipotence was now seen as nothing but an ornamental toy, belonging to some eccentric collector. He was now a figurehead, not a person, just as his weapon was now seen as a ersatz, rather than the genuine weapon that had been responsible for the saving of the universe as they now knew it.

Even though the dark terrors that haunted the dreams of child and adult alike were no longer present, the strangest thing began to occur; the worlds once again began going dark, with their formerly illustrious forms dimming to eventually fade into the monotonous tapestry of the night sky. One after another they fell, causing widespread panic among those who actually bothered to look up into the sky, rather than into a well-placed mug of ale or wine. Work immediately began on ships that could penetrate the walls between planets, causing them to become the laughingstock of their respective worlds. They were seen as lunatics by those whose ignorance overshadowed their sense of caution, declared senile by those who could not even see the signs of their own impending demise.

The few that managed to create different forms of the pioneering technology fled their worlds, bringing with them the tales of utmost fear, as well as sharing the visions of the death and destruction that remained vivid in their minds. The witnesses immediately congregated in the Middle Realms, within which Traverse Town is located... and it was there that they were able to share their tales with the world. Trying like madmen to distract themselves from their own memories, the technological geniuses of their time came together, fusing new ideas of travel while continuing to improve the methods of old; even the old engineer, Cid, volunteered his services and old Gummi ships to aid them in their quest. Once they had created several dependable ships, they left, going their separate ways while leaving a single note behind; a compilation of their sights, concerning these new and destructive creatures.

Had they been Heartless, the people would have feared their renewed presence, but at least they would have known their adversary... However, they were not Heartless, and so the seed of utmost fear of the unknown seeped into the hearts of mankind, moogle, and mermaid alike; no one was spared from the terror that they brought with them. The creatures did not carry the Heartless crest upon their breasts, but rather had a different emblem showing on their bodies. The deep sapphire form of an upside down heart was drawn, with a likewise inverted cross cleaving the heart into four pieces. Around this is coiled a set of ebony brambles, which encase the sigil with its tendrils. This symbol is seen on virtually all of the new foes; even their leaders seem to carry this tattoo, somewhere on their bodies.

They are somewhat similar to the Heartless in that they appear differently in each world, and adapt very well into new habitats, and they, too, carry glowing, spherical eyes. However, while they were constantly glowing a warm gold in the eyes of the Heartless, these new foes house orbs that glow a soft orchid hue while in the darkness. When exposed to light, their eyes go completely white; a sign that they are momentarily blind. Creatures of this species with a predisposition to blindness have eyes that are permanently stained the same eerily milky white as their stunned counterparts.

Those who had been sent to exterminate the Heartless in the past were sent out to fight these new creatures, only to find that their resilience to normal weaponry is greater than that of the Heartless; rather than being constructed of wispy shadows, these new beasts appear to be made of something more solid than barely-tangible mist. And, through these expeditions, they learned the hard way through the deaths of several members just how these new adversaries struck out and killed their prey, as well as the primary substance that can be derived from the human body. These creatures did not just kill, but siphoned the souls of their victims, leaving them as empty shells for other beasts to feast on... though, by the time that they strike the final blow, no one could truly call the victims alive. They wait until the last minute before removing their souls, but when they do, the body is left in a strange condition. The skin becomes almost transparent, the blood in their veins shows blue through their flesh, and only their hearts remain the vibrant red of life before fading into a rustic brown.

Upon seeing this, the creatures were henceforth deemed the Soulless; both for their ravenous appetites, as well as the brutality and lack of consciousness that was now often associated with the violent murders of their victims.

What set the Soulless further apart from their Heartless counterparts was their tactics for destroying worlds; rather than going straight for the Keyholes, which have long since lain dormant, they move to find a single individual from each world, instead... strangely, after said individual is captured, their native planet is almost guaranteed to go dark in three to four days. This leaves those who resist the reign of these new creatures, now known as the Rebellion, to wonder several things. From where did this new horde of monstrosities emerge? Who, if anyone at all, is pulling their strings? What is their ultimate goal? Conquest? Dominion? The slaughter of all living souls...?

And, most importantly, where is Sora, the Keyblade Master?

As the hordes of darkness converge on the realm known as Destiny Islands, the Rebellion must set forth to prevent yet another world's light from going dim...

Rules:

1. It sounds tedious, but please read EVERYTHING in this post. The information is quite necessary to role play.

2. Please be literate. I do not personally think that there is any way to appropriately gauge the utmost irritation and annoyance that is generated whenever I'm in the presence of a self-proclaimed Literate role player who sees fit to type in Chatspeak. v.v In other words... don't use chat speak, l33t talk, or whatever... for my sake, as well as yours. x.x

3. Included in my gauge of literacy is being able to post at LEAST two paragraphs... I mean, come on. That's if there's absolutely nothing to do (though that's doubtful), nothing to think, and you're stuck in a realm that looks the same all around... though, even then, you could still muster up a few more, if you tried. It doesn't take much effort at all to make such miniscule posts, to why not give it a shot, eh? I'm looking for really talented role players here, not 'claiming to be literate but only typing a paragraph per post' players.

4. Don't post a profile, and then leave. That's just lame. v.v

5. No godmodding. ^^ Duh.

6. Your character may not kill another main character (most NPC's apply for this rule, as well, but we shall take it to the Ooc thread when that happens) unless it has been decided as a group and the player of said character approves of their death. Another character may be brought in and introduced as their new primary character if that was their only one.

7. You may only take 2 characters at any given time, though the number may rise if a player is competent enough to handle the extra workload. Said character must be Disney or Final Fantasy character... though I will KILL YOU if I see a Lizzie McGuire or something similar to it. Concerning the characters that have multiple incarnations (examples being Squall [FFVIII and KH], Seifer [same], Yuna [FFX and X-2]); there can only be one of each character. So, while you can choose which incarnation you'd prefer, there will be only one Squall, one Yuna, and so on. The only 'exceptions' to this rule are Shuyin/Tidus or Lynne(?)/Yuna.

If you want an Original Character, you're going to have to try REALLY HARD to impress me. And believe me, it's going through a Mary Sue test. ^_^''

8.  If you've read the rules thus far, congrats. Type any of the following words atop your profile: parfait, penguins, or popfizz.

9. You must have some sort of self-control concerning the realms of lust. v.v I don't want to see cybering, though romance is fine. (I once saw a 'contest', where contestants saw how far they could go without violating ANY of Gaia's Terms of Service. Needless to say, it was quite entertaining.)

10. Do I have a personal cap on violence? By all means, no. However, keep Charas's Terms of Service in mind, provided there's some sort of rule against excessive bloodshed. Just make sure you don't get ME in trouble with your role-playing. You're responsible for your own text. v.v

11. I don't have a rule for swearing; just don't overdo it. It gets boring after a while. It doesn't make you 'badass' to swear. Rather, it sometimes makes your character look... less so, I think.

12. Mark Out of Character posts with (())'s or something similar to that.

13. Have fun. If you don't, Tonberries in bunny suits will haunt your nightmares at night and shall repeatedly stab thee with a pitchfork made completely of Pocky.

Q: "Ooh, Keyblade! It's a Kingdom Hearts Role Play, so it's GOT to have a Keyblade! Can I have a Keyblade?!"
A: There are 4 keyblades. Only two will be given out to actual role players (Or rather, two who have Destiny Island characters), while the other two are... reserved, shall we say. ^^

Q: "Heeey, that's not fair!"
A: I made this role-play, kiddies, and therefore... I make the rules. And the plot, in this case. ^_^

Q: "What IS the Ooc thread for, anyway? And when are you going to make it?"
A: I'm going to make it for the purpose of friendly interaction, less clutter in the thread, and plot progression. We'll decide together what worlds we visit, who role-plays the NPCs of certain worlds, etc. Plus, it's always a good way to meet literate friends. ^_^  I haven't made it yet, though; I want to make sure this gets some attention, first. ^_^

Q: "Can I have an Final Fantasy character?"
A: By all means, please do! Any Final Fantasy or Disney character will do.

Q: "What about a really, really minor character? I mean, not an actual party member, but some insignificant other that was in the games. Or maybe some no-name character from a Disney movie, like the squirrel in 'The Emperor's New Groove'?"
A: Um... it'd be best if they were capable of combat, have a name, and are at least somewhat recognizable to the rest of us. For example: Fujin and Raijin were considered minor characters in the game of Final Fantasy VIII, but they're fully capable of combat and had names. This is versus the 'girl in the library' who is called just that; you can never prove that she was capable of combat, and she has no real name. So that character would be barred from play. Characters like Kronk's friend the squirrel would be playable if we went to Kuzcotopia, but nowhere else. Sorry; it just doesn't have the depth to be a good role play character.

Q: "Um... I have a character that was either in one of the Final Fantasies or a Disney movie... and it was in Kingdom Hearts, too. What do I do? Do I have to pick one or the other?"
A: Pick an incarnation, and stick with it. Just don't go switching on us like someone with Multiple Personality Disorder. Also, once a character is taken, another incarnation of the same character cannot be claimed (ex: Yuna from X and X-2 can not exist together.). However, characters that are similar but different can still be chosen separately. (ex: Shuyin and Tidus.)

Q: "Can I have them like, uber powerful?!"
A: Um, no. v.v Don't be a godmodder or min-maxer.

Q: "Dude, can I make Cloud all weird, bubbly, and happy?!"
A: Unless he's rabidly drunk, high, possessed by a happy-go-lucky spectre of some sort, or a combination of all three, then no. It's simply not going to happen. The point is, keep them true to the character. It doesn't matter if you like them or not; if you can't RP them nicely, don't! Save the character for someone who can role-play him or her better, that's all. It's that simple. ^_^

Q: ",,,Can I make Squall/Cloud/Aeris/Tifa gay/lesbian? *Blushes*"
A: I'm totally open to those things, and quite frankly don't care if a pairing is straight or not, or if one is made at all. Just have fun, and make sure that if you want to hit it off, remember that the other role player needs to know and agree to it. ^_^

Q: "Hey, what about summons?"
A: It depends, in all honesty. Characters with a predisposition for summoning spirits, such as Yuna or Dagger, will naturally have guardian spirits to call upon. Others will have them more as companions or defensive measures, respectfully. If you want one, try to find a guardian force that will match your character. Powerful summons are off limits, obviously. The stronger your character, the weaker your summoned creature has to be. Don't make this your main form of offense, if at all possible, unless you're a summoner from the start. If you want my opinion, I'd tell you not to pick a summon unless you absolutely have to. Again, summoners are encouraged to pick their summons, but not without asking me for approval, first. Said summoner will gain more spirits with time and practice. Chances are, they'll screw up a few times before getting a new spirit summoning right. You may not make up a summon; they must be Disney characters or Final Fantasy Espers/Guardian Forces/Spirits/Aeons, etc. Examples from Final Fantasy are Ifrit, Shiva, Ramuh, or Ixion, while those from Disney can be Mushu, Todd, Copper, Oliver, or any other character you'd like. Just make sure to clear it up; we can't have summons as active characters. (Ex: If Simba is an already role-played character, you may not take him as a summon.)

Q: "What about Original Characters?"
A: With the overabundance of brilliant characters from the Final Fantasy series and any Disney creation at your disposal, you'd have to give me ten damn good reasons for making your own. (Not literally, mind you, but go ahead if you want to give me a chuckle.) Keep in mind that any profile containing an original character will be judged twice as harshly, and will be put through the Mary Sue test. If it doesn't pass, then it's just that; it doesn't pass.

Q: "What about the Organization? Where are they? They showed up in Chain of Memories!"
A: I may get killed for this one, but I've honestly got now way to work them into the plot. ^_^ If we have no Organization members, that's fine. If we do, that's fine. In reality, it doesn't really matter, in the end. There is no official Organization, for the sake of plot and sanity.

Q: "Who can be a good guy/bad guy?"
A: I can honestly tell you that I've role played an evil Aeris before, so anything's possible. XD Pick Maleficent, Sephiroth, Ultimecia, Captain Hook, or maybe Jaffar if you want a classic villain... likewise, there are many characters, from Aladdin to Jack Skellington and others that can be used for the classic good guy. If you want to be unorthodox, throw stereotypical character histories out the window, make them see your point of view, and shove off. :) Go crazy, so long as they're from either Final Fantasy or Disney. Just keep them as true to character as they can be... it should all work out in the end. ^_^

Q: "I don't like reading this. It's boring. ...Are we there yet?"
A: o.o Uh... Pocky. ^_^ ...Why are you looking at me like that? Shaddup and eat yer goddamn Pocky! (Parody of Cid's remark about tea in Final Fantasy VII)

Character Application:[/I][/U] As a brief explanation, Destiny Islanders are children that inhabit Destiny Islands. These are the only candidates for the two remaining Keyblades, mind you. Rebellion members are the ones who actively fight the Soulless, and serve as Squall, Aeris, Yuffie, and Cloud did in the first game. Unknown members are generally referred to as 'bad guys' in this series. They have some control over the Soulless, depending on their position in the Unknown hierarchy.

Things in ()'s are pointers and tips; they're only truly necessary to read for Age, Bio, and Alignment. Those who are veterans to the role playing universe need not read the others at all; just fly free on that one. ^_^ Reading stuff against a rigid guideline is boring, ya know? :o

Quote
(Did you read the rules? Teehee. :3)
Username: (Self-explanatory, no?)
Character Name: (Again, redundant. You'd better know your character's name. ^_^)
Age: (Nothing extraordinarily young, either, unless you're a Destiny Islander. Rebellion and Unknown members should be at least 16.)
Alignment: (Destiny Islander, Rebellion, or Unknown.)
Appearance: (Post a picture, and I WILL sic the aforementioned Tonberry on you. v.v)
Personality: (Keep true to the character, please.)
Weapon Choice: (Keep it realistic here; there are, generally speaking, no guns in Kingdom Hearts with the exception of Squall Leonhart's gunblade, or specialized Final Fantasy shooters like Irvine Kinneas, Laguna Loire, Vincent Valentine, etc. Ask yourself: how many weapons can your character realistically carry without being so bogged down that they can no longer fight without being handicapped by their bulk? Backup weapons have their own weight too, you know. Describe the appearance, function, and fighting style that it is most often used in. Yes, 'he swings his sword like a mad man, not knowing where he's swinging it' is actually a viable fighting style. A poor choice when fighting back-to-back with your allies, but meh, whatever floats your proverbial boat.)
Magic Affinity: (Can your character cast magic at all? Basic spells of only a certain element, perhaps? Powerful spells are blocked initially. The more powerful your magic capabilities, the lower your physical strength. Sorry, that's just how it works. List summons here if you have any.)
Bio: (A bio of your character, prior to the events in the RP. I'm not going to say 'short', simply because I usually can't adhere to that myself. XD Don't forget to include their home world in this, too. We will start out at good 'ol Destiny Islands, so figure out how you get there, too. Bad guys can start out anywhere, Destiny Islanders have to start on Destiny Islands, and Rebellion members will be just arriving there. We do, however, need one antagonist to start the attack on DI.)
RP Sample: (Probably the most influential part of this sheet, along with the Appearance and Personality fields. Want a foot in the door? Than make this good; but make sure you can consistently write material of that caliber. If you've honestly never role played before, I'll search through your post history to try to confirm this. In the meantime, put in this area what you would post as your introductory post before sending it in, making sure that you notify that this is the case.)

Oh, yeah, before I forget...

Character Name: Fujin Almasy
Role Player: KuraiKitsune
Age: 19
Alignment: Rebellion
Appearance: When first looking upon the teenager, the first thing one usually notices is her brilliant silver hair; a general oddity from the rest of the population. Unlike other girls her age who sport manes of fine blonde, brunette, or fiery red strands, she is left with a fine shade of platonic silver hair. Her bangs drift lightly before her slightly gold eyes, though they are constantly brushed to each side to reveal the black leather patch that covers her left eye. The thin strap that reaches across her forehead moves in a slightly diagonal angle, meeting the patch before continuing onto the other side, tying in the back. Her hair reaches halfway down her neck, and is short enough not to touch her shoulders; this way, her hair is kept out of the way in both combat and peaceful situations, where hair might get in the way (For example, women with long hair often find that it snags onto things; with her, there is nothing to grab a hold on.).

Her outfit is constructed of two pieces; her blue shirt and her black pants. Starting from the base of her neck, her shirt carries a collar of a similar hue, outlined by two gold borders. These were sewn from fine gold thread, with the gold having been taken from one of the many machines that lined the castle of Hollow Bastion; being quite the good conductor of electricity, the vast majority of the machines often relied on the material's presence to supply enough electricity for them to operate. These same bans of gold can be seen in several other places; two of the paths line the front and back of her shoulders, where they stay perfectly parallel to the seams that run over her collarbone. The sleeves of this outfit reach down to her wrists, with an inner layer of silver cloth inside showing through below where the sleeves end. This lining is the shirt's lining, and is not a separate layer of clothing.

Sitting atop her left shoulder is a small shield of sorts; a steel plate with the engraving of the Japanese kanji for 'kaze' written atop it in black script. A literal translation to this word is 'wind'; which, ironically enough, also has a direct correlation to her name. The lettered plate is spherical, but is encompassed by a rectangular border. The sides of this are smooth, and thus less pronounced; nevertheless, the bolts that hold both border and base together are easily evident. The entirety of this piece is convex in shape, and is held to her shoulder with a black leather strap.

Whenever her Pinwheel is not in use, it is often found strung across her torso with a special type of rope, braided from the same material as a Yellow Nocturne's hat. The material is resistant to electricity, which thus prevents her from being electrocuted when her weapon is charged with electrical energy. Whether her weapon is thrown or used as a melee weapon, she constantly keeps it attached to the rope; this way, in the event of a missed shot, she can quickly retrieve it; on the opposite side of the coin, this rope also makes for a vulnerability- if someone grasps the weapon, they can easily pull her with it.

Six pockets line her shirt, with each member of any given pair being directly symmetrical from the other. One pair of pockets lines the area across her chest, the second lies just below her ribs, and the last pocket lies perpendicular to her waist. From there, the shirt reaches down to her mid-thigh, where the border once again makes itself evident at the bottom of the cloth.

From there, the outfit makes way to her pants, which are constructed of black denim. Starting at the knees, however, she dons sturdy, black leather boots, whose laces run up and down her calf.

Personality: Ever the strange one, Fujin is more the type to focus on body language to communicate most of her ideas to the rest of her comrades or enemies; otherwise, her loud, always yelling voice does not fail to deliver the message in (mostly) monosyllabic sentences. Despite this rather brusque form of speech, she means well... most of the time. Preferring to talk only when necessary, she would much prefer a kick to the shins as a form of punishment than a long, useless rant, as many other people would do. This often leaves her as being rather infamous as the causer of bruises to the shins.

Fiercely loyal, as well, she will protect anyone she befriends with utmost ferocity, and yet nothing that anyone does will exclude them from her bad habits. Fujin also carries the rather nasty habit of not being able to express her feelings externally through words; most of the time, she is content with simply using minor gestures that would easily speak her approval, disapproval, and general mood. While facial expressions are not uncommon, the only emotion that is truly expressed through the spoken word would be her commonly used interjection, "RAGE."

While certainly no stranger to curiosity, she has learned through past experiences to be far more cautious of the unknown than she was prior to her... 'accident'. As such, caution is her best ally when facing unknown creatures or places, making her one of the least likely to rush into combat without watching for enemy habits, first. Very speculative and observant, she would rather stand at a distance and watch events unfold, rather than to rush in and err on the side of ignorance.

Weapon Choice: She uses a Pinwheel as her main weapon. This circular blade is crafted from fine, folded steel, with the sapphire-hued curved extrusions along its circumference easily catching onto and cutting into the flesh of her opponents. The weapon is roughly eight inches in diameter, with the inside of the hollowed-out circle being rimmed with a sapphire hue. The blade itself is about one to two inches thick on all sides, with two areas directly across from one another attaching to the thin, cylindrical rod running across its center; this serves as a holder of sorts for its wielder.

The Pinwheel is a slashing weapon, not a bludgeoning one, and can be both thrown or used in melee combat situations. The steel is strong enough to support her weight when attached to a solid surface, but it is ultimately up to the surface to which it is attached to determine whether or not this rather small anchor can hold her aloft; as such, it would never be used for scaling walls and the like- while it is strong and dependable, her own arms would bear the entirety of her body weight- it would be that, and not the weapon, that would fail her when she needed it most. Her upper body strength is not overly admirable, which forces her to rely on the sharp, cutting edges of her weapon. As such, in her fighting style, technique excels over strength and foolish haste.

Her throws, while fast and (generally) accurate, are often not as efficient at severing flesh as it would be if she had slashed her opponent in direct combat. While up-close, she can focus in on targeting vulnerable spots, choosing to sever ligaments, tendons, or vital veins or arteries in human opponents. While throwing, she often gives the enemy a less focused blow; while delivering painful slashes to large areas of the body (such as the torso, arms, or legs) that will certainly bleed, it lacks the deadlier efficiency of specialized strikes. This means she must get extremely close to inflict the maximum amount of damage, leaving her vulnerable to many an attack in the meantime.

As a backup weapon, she has only her magic and her kicks; while painful, to say the least, a kick to the shins is by now means fatal. Most often, this will be used as a diversion, rather than as a primary attack.

Magic Affinity: She can only cast magic of the Wind element, but often has a hard time controlling said element. As she continues to use her magic, it will continue to improve over time; however, absolute mastery is necessary before she can even attempt at casting a higher-level spell. Trying to do so beforehand generally results in disastrous consequences, especially since magic is not her primary form of offense. Her current abilities with wind consist of the ability to create cutting gusts of wind- temporarily, of course- and the ability to cast Aero with a fairly high success rate.

She would much prefer offensive magic, but it will take some time before she can even begin to focus her spell into any sort of gale or tornado. To protect her companions from mishaps more than herself, she has Carbuncle as her Guardian Force.

Bio: Born in the walls of the waterways below the castle of Hollow Bastion, Fujin began her life in a rather poor fashion. She had been born under the name of Lariah to a sculptor and an artisan, both of whom had made a living in embellishing the castle with their extravagant works of artïŋ― but only just. Their wages were incredibly low, which meant that she was forced to live in the Waterways in her youth. Because of financial strain, her parents were forced to give their daughter up to the orphanage that was within the castle; they could not afford a third mouth to feed, and they also wished a good upbringing for her. Soon after, they departed, using whatever money they had to scour the universe in search of a world that they could truly call home.

Back then, the girl known as Lariah looked significantly different; rather than the silver hair that graced her head in her teenage years, she was born with hair as dark as the midnight sky. Likewise, her gold eyes were originally a deep chestnut brown...

When introduced to the others, she chose to act as a recluse; even at the young age of five, she had no wish to socialize with the others. Rather than openly speak or play with the other children, she took to reading books instead, reading up on the strange reports that a certain Heartless researcher had often left lying around the grounds; being a rather curious child in her youth, she had often gone after the strange scientist starting when she was only nine years old, sneaking into his ships whenever he departed for his hideout. Once there, she would hide within the premises of his research laboratory, watching with a sense of curiosity, fear, and intrigue at his work. Naturally, whenever she returned from such excursions, she would always be giddy with joy from seeing new things... but, wanting to keep her secret as just that, she quickly learned how to clam up and keep her mouth shut. This led to her rather unusual speaking habits, since she would only speak when absolutely necessary, lest she accidentally let something slip from within the confines of her mind.

Perhaps she should have seen beforehand that her hiding places were more than visible to his eyes, and that just because she could not see him did not mean that he could not see her. As she grew older, reaching roughly the age of eleven while her silver-haired object of curiosity continued on his research of the Heartless, she finally crossed the line from voyeur to interference by accidentally killing one of the first Shadows that had been captured within the man's laboratory. Enraged, he knew that, though she was considered a recluse, this raven-haired child would definitely be the cause of suspicion if he killed her on the spot... and he did not have enough knowledge on his dark subjects to fully deluge her in darkness to become a subject of his own. However, he was able to taint her; in a fight that changed her life, her left eye was wounded, cut by a shard of glass that had been launched at her by the deranged scientist. It was this facet of open flesh that allowed him to insert a portion of a Shadow into her eye.

Shocked by the feeling of utmost cold as the darkness seeped into her laceration, she fell to the ground. Though exposure to the pure substance should have rendered her a dead child, (for children were generally more susceptible to the darkness's effects than most adults) she was instead afflicted by symptoms of shock. Like the Heartless, her eyes were dyed a brilliant gold... likewise, the stress caused her hair to turn prematurely silver. When she awoke again several days later, she inquired to the man who she was; she had acquired a sense of dissociative fugue, completely forgetting her sense of self. Immediately he took note of this; for she was Ansem's first true human subject.

Cutting her hair to make her appear like a completely different person (for Lariah had valued her long hair more than anything else) and exposing her to a different style of dress (for never before had this girl even considered donning clothes in a tomboyish style), Ansem returned to the castle, claiming to the orphanage that he had found the girl, lost about the palace grounds. When inquired as to her name, he easily thought of one: Fujin, for the wind that he felt churning inside her soul. When questioned about the makeshift patch that he had placed over her injured eye, he claimed it was injured in an accident, and that the bandage should not be removed until her eye fully healed. In truth, he was hoping that more of the darkness would manifest itself within her... alas, it remained completely dormant, leaving only a core of pure darkness resting in her eye.

Befriending Seifer and several others soon after arriving for her rather straightforward approach to everything in life, she found that, for some reason, she could not help but feel nervous around Ansem, and even more so when he disappeared... though she could never remember why. Dismissing it as a sort of 'gut instinct', she remained with her friends, training with them using the art of the Pinwheel. Originally, she had wanted a kunai similar to Yuffie's; however, the girl's incessant babbling annoyed her so much that she soon wanted almost nothing similar to her. She quickly had to learn how to parry against swords and staffs, and acquired the technique required to draw intricate designs on her friends' clothes while in combat... in other words, every fine line on their clothes was in fact a held-back strike that would have otherwise cut the skin. She also learned the hard way that getting close to long-distance fighters was an incredibly arduous ordeal, much to her dismay.

When Hollow Bastion was attacked, she remained there for the entirety of the Heartless Campaign, striving to fight off the Heartless intruders while occasionally experiencing lapses in memory; one moment, she would be attacking a horde of Defenders, and the next, she would 'wake up' in what appeared to be the aftermath of a defeat against the Keyblade master. It made her wonder; just what had done this? Why couldn't she remember? While it concerned her, she never dwelled too long about it; the past was the past, and would always remain that way... if you could not return to it, where is the value within it?

Upon her separation from her adolescent friend, she adopted his last name, allowing herself to fully ingrain herself with the rest of the Rebellion.

I havn't read ALL of it yet, but I wanted to post to reserve one of the two keyblades, because I'm super like that and totally deserve a key blade, or better yet, both of them.

EDIT: I know you're a big RPer and stuff, but this is just the INN, right?

(INN? What's that? Oh, introduction? Yeah. The posts won't be this huge after this. xD

Edit: Can't promise Keyblades at the moment, but I'll keep you in mind. One Keyblade per person is going to be the key, though, unless you're the only one controlling DI characters.)

On here, you have INNs where everyone joins, and the actual rp once everyone who wants in is in.

Is Riku dead in this game?  If so could I be his reincarnation?

Dead? No, he's alive. Take him, if you want. :p

Edit: BUT! He is now too old to be a Destiny Islander, and is not a candidate for a Keyblade. Take him at your own risk. :p

Ahhh.... Ive only played bits and parts of kingdom hearts but Ive beaten kh2 what islander could I be a re-incarnation of?  I would make a character from scratch but I don't think it would work very good cause I'm not the best at making characters and I have a feeling it might not be  good enough..:(

They don't have to originally BE from Destiny Islands, you know. xD I had a role play similar to this where Squall became a Destiny Islander, and so was an anti-social, angsty young teenager, versus an angsty, moody, mid-20's Rebellion member that he would be in a normal situation. :p

Heck, even characters like Maleficent can be Destiny Islanders. xD Just take your pick of the lot.

Cut out the "Only FF and Disney characters" rule and I may think about joining.

That rule killed several KH RPs.

So... There will be no Nobodies around? I liked those guys...
No wait, will the only enemy around be the Soulless? Or are Heartless and Nobodies like incredible strong enemies that you need a keyblade to finish of?

And thank the gods that you added that Gummiships were back to use again, nearly lost my sanity there.

So... A Disney or Final Fantasy character eh? Canīt I just have an overall Square character? I mean Sora is a Sion ripp-off and the same for Hayner...
Sure we could just make an incredible good character originally, but using another character as base isnīt quite that fun.

How about Chocobos? Can we have some Chocobos running around the worlds? We all do love chocobos...

And is the only kind of moogle in this RP the KH styled? Or could I kinda have a Crystal Chronicles Moogle as a Pet/Summon/Sidekick? Like Mog in FF9 you know.

Oh and can I like use character classes from FF1/FF5/FFX2 and FFT/FFTA and then name the character and add a bio and stuff?

Iīll add a profile later on, just donīt got the time right now.

Seriously? :o I can manage that. I just didn't want a bunch of Mary Sues/Gary Stus running around. >.<

Yes, all Square characters are allowed. :3

Nobodies will be integrated into the storyline, just not the entirety of the Organization. :/ You'll see, later. ^_^ The Nobodies are important, though. In terms of strength, it's like this:

Nobodies>Heartless>Soulless.

In numbers, it's:

Heartless>Soulless>Nobodies.

In terms of weapon resilience (Everyone's main problem), it's like this:

Soulless>Nobodies>Heartless.

I'd love to see Chocobos and other moogle types in this. xD If I see only KH moogles here, I'll go MAD.

Yes, you can use character classes to make OCs. :p Just make sure they'll pass the Mary Sue test.
