Charas : A Secret Obsession?

Well I needed a hard-hitting title, or no-one would be interested.

Anyways, I was thinking: Do your "friends" in "real life" (As in outside of Charas, nubs) know that you use Charas? Or is this something nobody knows about?

Me, people know I use Charas, just not as frequently as I do. If anyone remembers Jaded Rockstar, he's a friend of mine (He didn't stick around long, but he's still working on the game he posted as soon as he arrived).

Anyway. Discuss.

Haha! Very cool topic. I can honestly say no one really knows, cause none of my friends are into online communities. I've pointed this place out to a few of em (as well as RPG Maker) but they mostly run to the resource section. Of course there are other fun communities we all frequent, but Im the only charesian out of us.

Not mostly. I mean my wife sees me on the forums but she doesn't really know what it is other than it has to do with RPG Maker.
I wouldn't like.. tell people about it, and I never use my computer while I have people over since that's rude.

edit: Actually, some of my work friends use RPG Maker, so they use the generators and stuff..

Yeah, most, if not all of my friends, know I use rpg maker and sprite for it. A  lot of em know I'm on here, as well as a few other sites just cause there's no reason to hide it. Like that KuraiKitsune that was here a few days. She was a friend o' mine, just with massve computer restrictions.

I don't really tell people about this place unless they're interested in RPG making.

One of my friends came here before, but he left not long after. He doesn't use RPG Maker. Maybe once in a great while just to screw around.

If I recall correctly, my friends don't know that I am a member here, but that isn't because it's a secret.  Hell, I've probably mentioned it, but it's not a big deal to them, so why remember?

They do know I sprite.  Afterall, I won a spriting contest on another forum and I was all like "Yay!"  Obviously I explained why I was in a good mood.

Why would someone keep this kind of place secret?  There's nothing forbidden or illegal.  Well, besides that it's formed around using an illegal program, but that's not important.

Well, everyone knows I use it, specially at work, cause I stay on Charas the whole day intead of doing something productive for the office XD

Pretty much averyone knows. Why? Is it supposed to be some dirty secret? Like, is it on the same rails as going out to that one patch of the woods where all these men have anonymous gay sex? Because that kind of thing shouldn't be getting around, now should it?

I've got maybe two people who know about this place, and a few more who know I like RPG Maker. It just doesn't come up. It's not that fun to talk about unless they really like RPGs.
