What the hell?

EDIT: I changed my password, so hopefully that helps. This account should probably be demodded though.

EDIT 2: The IP Check tool doesn't show anything out of the ordinary. I honestly have no idea what happened here.

Also, I admit that the "Go away n00b" thing was me, but that was just me being a jerk. Otherwise, I've been really busy in the past few days, so I haven't had much of a chance to post.

Odd. Very odd indeedy.

Personally I think we should wait a bit and see how this turns out. If it stops here, then evidently Warxe was hacked, and since he's changed his password now there's not much need for further action.

I might be wrong though. God knows how society works here on Charas any more.

Not at all. I would imagine that it wouldn't be too hard to impersonate an IP address, and I use the same password on most of my online accounts, so if someone had enough time, they could figure it out.
Other than hacking, the only thing I can think of is my sister. But my computer is right outside my room, so I probably would've heard her, and she probably doesn't know how to delete stuff anyways. Other than that, it pretty much implicates me as the murderer.

Honeslty, even though we have no proof of anything at this point, what motivation would Warxe have? Post count isn't imporatant anymore, particularly forum gaming posts.

For all we know, it could have been a freak accident such as his sister happening to delete it, heck, there could have been a person who masked his ip as Warxe's to get him in trouble. It could have been a database error, seeing that all the threads delete almost symotaniously. The possiblilities are almost endless, so let's not jump the gun to blame someone who hasn't done anything to harm anyone in the past such as Warxe.

But not completely simultaneously (Spelling. :p). This is the part I don't get. If it was a database error, then surely

a) They'd all have gone at once, and

b) They wouldn't show up on the mod logfile, since no mod was responsible for deleting them.

(I dunno how Charas' servers work, so don't take my word for this)

But then again, a whole lot of threads went within a few minutes' time. And since it's impossible to delete multiple threads at once (So MT11 says), whoever was reponsible for this (If it is a person) must have some mad clicking speed.

Either way, it makes no sense. Someone explain. Please. O.o

I'm beginning to note some weird, new members, like romix and egdcltd. Neither of them have made any posts, and this egdcltd dude is looking at the leaders page for some reason.

Also, Robotam Plus is now looking at an absurdly old thread, while egdctld has dissapeared from the who is online? page. In other news, a ton of guests are looking at nonexistant threads.

If anyone has knowledge of a plot, someone with a grudge against Charas, or a working theory of what happened, don't hesitate to forward any information to myself or another staff member.

I've uncovered a few minor clues and made some speculations based on them, but nothing substantial. Warxe is still a suspect but, well, it's  Warxe so I have my doubts on him doing it. Though he's going to stay unmodded for the time being.

In the meantime, I'd suggest trying to pick up the pieces. We don't know when Alex will be around or if a rollback of those forums is possible. Doesn't make much sense to have things in limbo. I would encourage people to use the forums as they did yesterday and start new threads there.

Sai, if it's okay for us to know, could you tell us what you've established so far. Like you say, we should all do all we can to find out what's going on, and maybe somebody can elaborate on anything you've found out.

Also, I doubt Dominicy could have been responsible. He apparently likes Charas.

I reckon this has to be someone who dislikes Charas and is knowledgeable about the way the Forums work. I mean Warxe is the only mod (Not counting admins) who has power over the Forum Gaming board, so whoever hacked his account (If that is what happened) must have known right from the start that he was their target. Am I right?

But yeah, we ought to go on as normal until we find out 100% for certain what happened.

Ok, excuse me?  when all else fails, blame me because I'm new?  'bad spelling' how so?  other than capitalization, my spelling is fine, 'ubsurdly silly and dumb', sorry for knowing how to have fun.  then again, ofcourse considering I'm one of the newest people its my fault, I mean, we new people to you 'more respectable and important people' are just pretty much dead weights to increase the number of members.  this is so wrong from you that you just blame me instantly.  how much should I bet that people here just think of us new people as just things to blame on what happens, THINGS to flame when your bored, or just THINGS to ignore completely.  you guys here hardly even treat new people when they post with any sort of dignity, you just make up an insult and go along, with the possible exception of darkfox and saikar.  this is so wrong from you to blame me out of the open because I try to have fun.  excuse me.

Sai, don't you have a list of all the poeple attempting to log in?

If so, you could probably find someone trying to log in as Warxe before they changed their IP.
Are there any other members from Canada that may have traveled to Warxe's house and did it while he was sleeping?
