Update: I've got some more temple events done.

The Templar tells our heroes about Kalibur.

Enough. One more post about the damn battle char, charset, or anything about Linkforce's so called owned character; will get the topic locked.

One way to spruce up your maps is to add foliage and such. A few bushes, a patch of flowers, maybe a tree or two if the scene allows for it. Also, barrels and vases are a staple of the modern RPG - especially because if you add maybe three or four items to be found in them in the first town, the players will spend the rest of the game checking them whenever they can. :P

Add some in the corners of a house, or try finding some chipsets with details like small cracks or other little flaws that can make a wall look a little more realistic. That new screen looks nice, although those barrels look weird around the sword (Rather, the sword looks weird around those barrels, but the sword is much cooler) - add a rack behind the sword so it looks like it's leaning on something, and make the rack take up most of that alcove - the barrels can be relocated to a corner near the front of the room, along with a desk.

ImmortalDreamer: Nice textbox. I don't normally like non-CTS boxs, but yours is pretty good. Dunno why, but it's plain and practical.

Also, don't you think you should use chipsets from the same game? Rudra and SD3 are pretty different in looks when they arn't recolored to match up.
