Uh, that's on purpose.
See, would you say 'Posibolt' is spelt correctly, when it's supposed to be 'Positron Bolt'? Tristrike is named such, because Triple Strike is really drat long and cumbersome to say. It's an abbreviation of sorts.
See, if you can find one specific spelling error I made in the dialog, I'll see to this that the problem's fixed, but unless it somehow, Ironically, turns out that all my 'spelling errors' are on purpose, then no can do! There's reason to it! :p

It's not that I'm saying you're wrong or anything. It's just that practically nobody else has mentioned my spelling up until this point.

He knows it's supposed to be abbreviated to tristrike. However, it's not. You've misspelt it as 'Tristrkie'. Keep up old chap.

Thanks MT. Yeah, that's all I meant, man. Wasn't supposed to be that big of a deal. No hard feelings. :p

EDIT: Hey, if you want, when you're done the game, I could help go through and find stuff like that to spruce it up. I mean, catching your own mistakes like those is hard, but other people usually notice. It's not that any of it really bothers me, I just think such a great game deserves the most professional-looking dialogue possible!

Hmm... Don't know how long that'll take, but if you're willing, I'll gladly accept your help.

Just haf'ta spellcheck more often. Or just start spellchecking for that matter.

I is bumping dis thread!

I downloaded the newest demo yesterday. I haven't gotten to anything I didn't do the first time (I got to the fight with Terrorcross last time, heading that way in my current game soonish) but I few comments.

First, the good. The map and the journal thing are both much-appreciated features. Really helps me out since my memory at remembering districts was getting really bad after a while.

And I admit I cheated a little and looked at the database. I was trying to figure out how you did the battle animations. But anyway,  when I saw little three-eyed Tri-Emerald there, I actually let out an in real life "Hell yeah!" You now how sometimes you're playing a game and you wish an NPC was one of the heroes? She was mine with this game. It's pretty sweet.

One negative thing I noticed last time but didn't write down for some reason. It seems like talking to any NPC is actually disencoruaged in this game. Seriously, most of their conversations go something like this:

"Hey man"
"Hey"
(a few seconds pass)
"What's up?"
"Nothin"
(a few more seconds)
"Okay. Seeya."

Not only do the NPCs not really have much to say, but they sure take a long time to say it. It's like you're punishing the player for talking to NPCs by giving a frusterating and meaningless little time waster. In most games I like talking to lots of people to get the backstory of the world, but in The Alpha Force I've started avoiding them like the plague.

Anyway, just wanted to say that peoples are still liking your game. Keep up the good work. I may post more if I ever get farther.

Maybe this'll give Bluhamn incentive to release Demo 4 *wink wink nudge nudge*
And also... is Saikar back for good?

Hopefully, Bluhman's just taking a long time over the next demo because people complained last time that there wasn't enough new content.

Or he's just got creative block. Creative constipation.

Good point. Tri Emerald was never really a character in demo 3. I mean, she was in the database and all, but you never actually got to use her. I suppose it'll be worth the wait. This and Alter Alia 2 are my favourite Rm2k3 games on the horizon ATM.

Well, back to Alter Alia 1 and Alpha Force Demo 3 for now then. *sigh*

Uh, well.. Yeah, I am in a bit of a creative block. That, and the 'small innovative game' contest piqued my interest, so I'm doing something for that... Something actually quite ambitious.

But on another hand, Alpha Force: Yeah. Way I see it now, I think I'll do the games as episodes; I'll get up to a certain point in this game version, then will begin a sort-of sequel that continues where the 1st left off. This 2nd episode will have more fitting chipsets (I found a modern adapatation of Mac and Blue chips that would come in handy), larger cars, hopefully, and will definitely address the annoying pausing messages the NPC's give you.

Anyway, I gotta g- oh, what's that in the distance? *Gets smashed in the face by a APUSH assignment* Ow. *Gets smashed in gut with junior thesis* OOf! *Gets crushed by several random tests falling from the sky.* Oi. Did I mention I was sort of busy with schoolwork? Thankfully, the upcoming winter break will probably give me some time to work these things out.

Ehh.... i think the stuff is too bright for the backround, the terrain and buildings look really nice but the cars are too bright and it makes everything stick out... maybe just edit a couple things an just keep the main charas the same so only they stick out and everything looks nice btw

'Freed from the shackles of his junior year, the mighty Pegasus flew away from the high school... Then sat down at a computer and proceeded to work on the Alpha Force.'
-Ancient Greek Mythology tale

It continues.

Yep. Production on The Alpha Force is now really in gear again. For how long? I have no idea. Will another demo come out? Most likely. Real life is a bastard, but rest assured, Alpha Force is not dead.

I'm a bit held up at one point, though. If you guys go over to the Request Forum and check, you'll see my request thread. That's pretty much where I'm stuck, so if you can help out on that, I'd love it. (Nevermind. Figured it all out.)

So, what have I gotten done, you might ask?
Well, since the last demo, where we left off with Emerald joining the party, I've gotten...
  • Emerald's abilities and animations are complete. Or near complete
  • Chisoku got a few new moves.
  • The events of the day are complete.
  • Trying to work to get NPC's to become more useful...

So yeah. Things are moving, and I sure hope they keep moving!
