Best FF Hero?

So.....
Out of all the Final Fantasy games you've played, which has the best central character (as in the guy you mostly walk around as)? The worst? My brother says Cloud (VII) as best, Vaan (XII) as worst. I agree on Vaan, but I'd say Squall is cooler than Cloud, save the whole Rinoa thing. Jeez, Rinoa, why Rinoa? Gah. But Squall seems more consistent than Cloud, and a tad less crazy. Not crazy always helps.
Anyway, I'd like to see what others think on this.

Zidane.

All FF games seem to have a love theme. Zidane's seems like the most practical. All the others are like: "Oh, I luv you because of nothing"

Tidus is a pussy.

Zidane (IX) is the winner for me, as his history is the most believable of the bunch.  Too bad Vivi isn't counted, as he'd be the top.

As for the worst, I'd say Luneth from III, but that's just because the characters from III have no personality, and they're not even generic like I.

Actually, yeah, Zidane is pretty high on the believable list. *kicks Rinoa in the face* I just hated the little stunt he pulled at the end.
What about out of everybody? Hmmm...... *grabs Rufus* BEST.

Zidane, FFIX is one of the best final fantasy games because of the characters, something that some other games lack *coughffviiffxiicough* and every character in FFIX is great(except Queena perhaps...).

Zidane got daggers or this double-siden blade thinghy. He is one of the few main characters that doesn´t use swords and that´s a pro.
Zidane also got wicked skills while in trance that will most likely eliminate whatever set him off.

And the last pro, and the most important one, his personality is just great, makes it fun to play the game over and over.

Worst? Vaan I guess..."I wanna be a skypirate" and then, nothing happens. There is like no character development in FFXII so Vaan just suck really...

Zidane was pretty sweet. The whole "theif class as a main character" thing wins.

I can remember his first name....The you Beoulve feller from FFTactics. I liked him...
And Delita.

Squall would have been much cooler had the whole bishy romance thing not reared its head.

His name was Ramza, and I liked him too.

Zidane is high up for me.

I also liked Kuja alot.

Ramza Beoulve, hands down. His story is basically, "I am like the only honest noble. And I fight demons for justice."

Most of his awesomeness comes from the awesomeness of FFT in general. Like, the only crappy characters in it were Mustadio and Rafa/Malak. Everyone else was amazingly cool. Even Algus was cool even though you still gotta hate him. I mean, who classes as a Knight with a Crossbow?! And Auto-Potion? What a tank.

I totally forgot how much I hated that guy.

Honestly...the characters in that game pretty much hauled though, looking back on it.

Zidane is meh favorite... the worst to me is between cloud and tidus...

As for vaan's sky pirating... square's suppose to be making some second game for vaan and penolo and their adventures as sky pirates.

Why does it have to be main characters? They all suck.

I'm gonna say Celes, FF6. I'm hoping that there's a loophole here because she was the main character for a while ^.^
