At law school I have this subject that, in a rough translation, would be called "legal medicine". We study the many kinds of injury a person can suffer and die from, so that in a scene of crime we know how to identify how was the person killed. That implies that I see slides every class. Every Thursday I see smashed, cut in half, blown, splattered people. I see things that are beyond recognition, like real meat packs that you can`t recognize. I've even seen a guy who liked to masturbate with a broom stick, by hanging in a tree and sticking it in his anus, and that obviously fell and died because the stick went up in his body until the height of his neck.

And even though I could look at those pics with academic eyes, not letting emotion get in the way or whatsoever.

But...this video shocked me beyond expected. I never felt so bad in my whole life. I never felt so much nausea out of something that isn`t actually happening in front of my eyes. And I never felt so disgusted about people.

Seriously, this is the first time I ever wanted USA to do some bad Nuclear bombing in a  country again.

I don`t regret seeing it, though I wish from the bottom of my heart that I didn`t have to know how horrible it is, how cruel people can be and how blinding religion can become.

This should never be threated as old news.

Anyone else feels bad because you feel, even indirecly, responsible for other human beings acts? No one feels that you have the duty to educate the next one when you see they`re clearly lost all rationality?

Y`know...all this girl did was fall in love. And what is that? It is a rare moment when a human being leaves his sphere of selfishness, his little kingdom to actually think about someone else. Make the next one happy, just for the sake of it.

And a bunch of ______________(fill this blank space if you can define things like those monsters) stone a person to death for falling in love, for caring for someone that doens`t share the same religion.

Tell me something: how far can you take the "Culture" excuse? It`s a different culture! Does that seem right to you?

Extreme sadness. :(

Man that's what I'm saying, it's different to hear about a situation
vs seeing it.

When I posted this on another site most of the damn kids said.
"oh well **** happens"
Then I asked them if they watched the video and none of them did.
Once a few did watch it their words completely changed.

When I was a child this female robbed a rink dink of a corner store and she ran out with 40 bucks the police saw her running and shot her right dead in the head. I saw this happen. I was sitting on the ground right when she fell next to me and I saw those cold, dead, eyes...

Now if I saw that  on the news it would've said something like.
"dang" and nothing more.

I guess it doesn't shock some people until they actually see it or if it happens to someone they love.

This girl did something very beautiful. She loved someone
and didn't care that he was from another religion, she looked beyond that knowing that in her culture this is highly looked down on and what happens to her?
She gets ****ing stone to death while walking home by over 50 men....cheering like ****ing morons..

I hate people in religion. I hate them so much that they almost make me hate religion.
I'm not one to pass judgment but god isn't gonna do a damn thing about this situation. They should all be blown into a nuclear winter.

My friend Adam showed me some videos that his terrorist of a uncle recored.

In one they chopped off this guys head for some political reason and let me tell you...that video was very graphic.
They did it with a dual knife and used rocks to pound the knife in.
Now if Adam just told me about it I would've said something like.
"That's f'ed up man" and would've gave it not another thought..

So watch the video if you can..

I refuse to watch the video, but I completely agree with what both you and Almeidaboo have said.

I actually started watching the video, but there was a such a crowd in the shot that you couldn't even see anything; so I closed it, it wasn't worth trying hard to see something like that.

It's not the religion, it's not that she loved someone; it's violent people being violent.  This happens all the time, and they will find something to blame.

Exactly.. and I've watched stuff like this before.. I mean, what can I do from new york? Not much. I can say that it's fucked up and that there are some messed up people in this world, but not much else will come from it. It's hard to change other cultures, ect.. because they've had those traditions for a LONG time. For us "outsiders" it's unusual, but to them it's natural. We all have views on what's right and what's wrong ya know?

And Almei, leave america outta this for once <<;;

The video gets closer to her. It's also the reason on why they believe she deserved such a painful way to die.

The death wasn't really culture related it was really more of a reason to kill someone than anything. The people who killed her didn't have any type of official authority but there, the mobs really rule the land.

What can you do? Simple teach our only hope, children, that this is not cool one bit to do **** like that.
It might not seem like much but even there's a slim chance that someone wouldn't kill for the hell of it because of what you shared with  them it's completely worth the effort.

Also it's easy to change someone's culture white people have been doing it since they came into the picture.
It's hard to change a culture with words. I actually believe it's not to impossible.

I watched some of it, but I couldn't watch it all.  Once they hit her head, my jaw dropped.  I think people like this should be executed a.k.a. shot in the head, without hesitation.  It's unbelievable what kind of sick people live in this world.

This is awful. By using religion as an excuse for violence, these people are just adding fueling the opinion that religion is a bad thing. Honestly, religious people should be promoting understanding.

The trouble is that people sometimes use anything they can as an excuse to kill someone just because they like hurting people. Football violence, for example.

Football isn't about violence.

And yeah, this is pretty bad, don't care to actully watch it. People can twist religeon in many ways to just get what they want. [/B]

If football didn't have violence, people wouldn't watch it.

Same thing with Nascar and crashes.

In fact, people can twist anything just to get what they want.

I'm not gonna watch it... I can imagine what happens, but... hell, the world is... normal. And I'm glad I'm crazy ^^

I'm not bashing religion, why?

First of all, being a lover of filosophy, I couldn't care less about religion, I see it as a way to stop a man's mind from trying to visualize more points of view... but I'm not gonna bash it because of this video.

Why?

Many crimes are commited, and not all by religious people. Nuns have been raped to death, and priests killed in death camps at WW2 for example.

I'd focus in just not put all people inside the same bag, but to give those who deserve it a nice punishment.

Is love such a big crime...?

There's no way to justify an act like that, but there's no way to stop it either. We've been killing each other since the dawn of time, and nothing we do will change that; in fact, sapience has only given us more reasons and tools to kill one another with.

Besides, every culture has their own distinct identity. There's no one "better" culture than another. So what right do we have to tell them "You can't kill people because we say it's wrong"? I'm all for human rights, sure, but we can't force people to obey them.

As for religion, I think that it gives people some purpose - what's a better reason to live than pleasing a god? - but when in the hands of the wrong people, it loses meaning. True religion is what you believe, not what people tell you to believe.

I  don't care what culture you're in you do not kill someone for something that isn't hurting anyone and like I said she didn't die over a culture it was just a reason for a mob to kill someone.

umm yea

i sort agree with the one on top me
but we are human and we have the same insides its the outside that looks diffrent.

it doesnt mean that we should go around killing each other.
its sin and its a sicking to the god i belive.

but tho he still belives every sin is the same.

and also sick to me for killing the girl in the video i watched.
its like watching the ring

This is true. Most of us get our high off of watching violence, like wrestling, boxing, street fights.

Seriously, you can´t measure the violence degree of this until you see it to the end. I got strong stomach, I almost threw up. It´s something to change a person's life seriously.

Now, we have to make it rational. It´s not because of some fukked up fanatics that we'll go around hating religion.

As many said before, religion, being a human construction, can be interpreted and twisted by human anytime.

Religion's purpose is not to cause hathred and to promote death, but people lose their ways and get blind by it many times. So we must fight fanatism, not religion itself.

Mid, from NY you can do many things, but in your sphere of living. You´re not gonna catch a plane to those places and shoot them with a AK47. But you can advice someone with fanatic tendencies, write something relevant about it and spreas the text so that more people get to know that reality. It´s about just doing something for the sake of it, one person can do a diference.

What you can´t do, on another hand, is deny USA past actions...
