Sega Channel
« on: June 18, 2007, 12:27:25 AM »
Did anyone else have this awesome service? I remember when it first came out, it was the greatest thing of all time.

For those of you who do not know what Sega Channel was, check out this Wiki page.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Channel

Absolutely awesome. The main office was near Denver, so our access was almost instant.

My favorite games for it were...

Mortal Kombat 3
Megaman: The Wily Wars (Megaman I II and III compilation.)
Shining Soul II
Phantasy Star IV
Earthworm Jim
Earthworm Jim 2
My Crystal Pony Adventure
Art Alive
Ballz
And a few others..

Anyone else?

That sounds amazing.... Hey, I still have my Genesis! Bring it baaaaaaaaaaaaaack............. just for me..... pleeeeease?
It does sound like an expensive prospect for cable companies, though.
But.... Apex.... Crystal Pony? Whaaaa?

Apex has a secret passion for crystal ponies. He loves to ride them, but not in the way you think...

Back when I was very young, that game was awesome! So awesome that I played it again last night... Man brings back the memories. You get to make your own Pony, and rescue the other ones, who were imprisoned by the evil Warlock guy, who used magical crystals to trap them. You had to collect the gems by completing random tasks, and collecting horseshoes and keys to unlock doors and chests. Truly a masterpiece in it's time.

Don't you dare bad talk Sega Genesis.

Phantasy Star IV alone is enough of a reason for me to love my Genesis.

Vectorman and Rocket Knight Adventures were pretty awesome too.

Amazingly enough, I did know somebody who had Sega Channel. I played on it once, waaaay back when I was five, and was still living in California.

My friend had all that Sega stuff. I'll be honest, I really wasn't that into video games at that time, but now, I really wish I was. Owning one of the Sega consoles back in their prime would have been sweet.

Anyone wanna donate a Sega Something and some games to me?

Well, when I know a place in which I can buy a genesis, saturn, or cd for $20 and already have myself a dc, I think I'm doing fine.
