1. Haloid is the name of the fan movie in which Samus and a Spartan first fight eachother and then fight together. It was a serious attempt, not a satire thing - just because you see a Spartan doesn't mean it's the Master Chief, it could be one of the 100 or so other Spartans that existed at some point (I believe the author even confirmed it was the same one that appeared in Dead or Alive, which was also female).

2. The revised release date is the Japanese release date, the American date is still Dec. 3rd.

3. Bungie, now being independent from Microsoft, is free to pursue other consoles for Halo-y goodness, including picking up the Halo DS demo which was originally rejected by the company.

Wait, I think I do remember the author stating that he was like upset that all the silly fan animations of characters vs. characters were getting all the views, so in retaliation, he made one of his own. Yeah. I think that was what was going on, but then again, I never was really all that big on the whole weird animation scene.

Why would they change that? Delaying it will seriously hurt it's sales (they'll lose the christmas rush) And I mean... the game is pretty much finished, now they're just teasing us...

Yes, they will make money, but release day sales will not be as high. The Christmas season is the best time to release games, systems, movies, etc. and releasing immediately AFTER that (as it says on Wiki Jan 24/08) is really really bad for releasing games. People spend a lot of money at Christmas, and then don't buy much until at least Feb. I know it will still sell, but not as well as if they release it in Dec.

Yeah, they won't be as high, but there's also the adverse effect of it being so anticipated, people who DONT have Wii's will buy them for the game.

Shady, delaying it will NEVER hurt sales of a game. Miyamoto once had a motto, which stated that a delayed game can never be any worse. Better a delayed game than a bad game.
