The End of Our World
« on: September 16, 2007, 01:20:07 AM »
Alright before I begin this thread, it's a link. A link to a YTMND site. No it's not built as a joke, nor is it gay or anything like that. Rather educational. Not all YTMND sites are dumb and faggy. So don't treat this as a YTMND, rather an educational short clip.

Anyway before going any further the info about to be posted contains various ways of how our World/Humanity (in some scenarios our galaxy) may come to an end. Some of these are crazy but some are indeed very probable.

(Note: Average reading speed required.)

Anyway:

http://endofourworld.ytmnd.com/

Ignore the ytmnd title! TAKE IT AS AN EdVid

For other epic titles:

The people who make these need to stop trying to depress the rest of us and get out there and enjoy what's left of our existence.

It... depresses you?

if at all it gave me a warm scientific feeling inside. Now Armageddon. That was depressing.

We're all going to die.

I don't think it gets more depressing than that.

Interesting.

If it's any consolation, those of you who are easily depressed, you and everyone you know and love, will be long dead* before those scenarios occur. Except for maybe the 2012 one.

*probably.

I love the idea of that last one... I love those abstract types of things...

It's interesting how 2012 is in our lifetimes (assuming no early death), seeing as its currently considered the next apocalyptic date. Then again, 2000 was the last one, but there seemed to be less ominous signs. I don't know... I don't want to dwell on it too much...

This is the way to view this thread, and razor's point of view.

I would say that if you think about it too much, you'll be pessimistic about it. We all do die. it is, like said, inevitable.

If I were to have a choice though, I would choose Robots. I was really expecting to see smething like Z-Day there. The closest was the Chemtech thing or whatever.

If there was a 13th month, someone will claim that the world will end on 13-13-2013. How unlucky..

Z-Day would be ****ing awesome. Of course, I say that now.
When it actually happens, I'll be shitting bricks.

But I'll know what to do.

Seriously, I'm already planned for Z-Day. I actually have locations, plans, and routes mapped. That is, of course, if I don't turn into a zombie.

Aaaaaaaaaanyways, I didn't actually watch that. I just know that I watched something similar on the history channel, and the only one that scares me is the thought of a gamma ray shot from a collapsing, star/planet (I forget which) and vaporizing half the planet.

1) Get blunt objects.
2) Rescue friends, girlfriend and mother.
3) Hole up in pub.
4) Keep the noise down.
5) Have a nice cold pint and some peanuts, and wait for the whole thing to blow over. Perfick.

Best movie ever.
Although that plan wouldn't work so well for me. The nearest pub is right next to my house, sure, but my girlfriend and friends live half an hour to an hour away.

I'll just hole up on the roof of my school. It's already got fences 360 degrees around, as well as a fully stocked cafeteria, open quad area so you can see everything whilst moving, as well as a clear view over a very large area.

I imagined you got a Z-day survival guide as well?

Man, I'd totally be unprepared for it. I mean, I have no clue of a secure place in my hometown. I mean, first it'd be like  (Z) , then it would turn into  :o , and maybe a little  :vampire: , and then I'd be all  :x , and eventually maybe even  _ghost_ !

And Roland, you have the most stupidly oversized avatar ever.
